I blink at the letter trying to hold back the tears at the mention of my parents. Asha senses my distress and reads over the letter. "They left you the money so you could take care of yourself. They don't want you to be sad. They will always be with you like my parents are always with me." She hoots sadly.

"I know but I still wish I knew who they were." I look down to the ground my hair falling around my face. "When does Diagon Alley close?"

"Most of the stores close around 9:30 at night, Why?" She perks up at the sound of Diagon Alley.

"Well why don't we go there now, and buy some things today, not all but some." I say as I change into a plain grey t-shirt and black leggings, I also grab a big sweatshirt and throw it on.

"Yay!! I'm excited! Okay meet me and Sean at the edge of the forest." She hoots happily out the window. I pull on a pair of shoes and run down the stairs excitedly.

Sean is already at the edge of the forest waiting for me. When he sees me he lays down so I can get onto his back. "Put your legs in front of my wings. I don't want you to fall off."

I do as he says and grab onto his neck. He starts to gallop along the trees, I grip his neck tighter, and before I know it gravity is pushing hard against me. He starts to level out and I realize flying is the best feeling in the world. Asha is flying next to us and I raise my hands and scream at the top of my lungs. We fly for about ten minutes.

"Grab on we are going to start descending." I grab his mane and his skin is so warm compared to the freezing wind funneling around us. Sean slows down and gallops to a stop. I didn't even know we landed until I open my eyes and see that we are in a corn field near London. I walk to the nearest side walk. "I'll wait here until you get back." He say walking over to a dumpster and sticking his head in.

Asha lands on my shoulder, "You can't sit on my shoulder these people aren't used to that kind of thing, can you get into my hood?" She nods, after she changes into a smaller storm grey owl with blue eyes.

I start to walk down the strip of shops. "We call them muggles." Asha whisper quietly in my ear. People near me, look around and their eyes land on me. They probably hear an owl hoot.

"Who do you call muggles?" I ask her whispering so quietly I could barley hear myself.

"Non-magical folk, they are called muggles." She whispers quietly. I nod my head and people are still staring. I make eye contact with someone and shrug my shoulders. "Oh look the Leaky Cauldron, go in their." I take a good look at what I am about to walk into and I don't like what I am seeing.

The sign above the door is faded and covered in black soot. The windows on the outside are covered in grime. I grimace and prepare myself for the inside. I walk up to the entrance and open the heavy wooden door. The smell of oak and burning wood takes over my senses. On the far wall there were booths that were filled with young people. And along another wall was a bar with a wizard handing out drinks to a women in a long cloak. Along the middle of the room were two long tables with people sitting in groups and clusters.

It was not what I was expecting at all. I looked around a bit and noticed that there was a huge man sitting at the bar. He got up and went to the back of the bar. I decide to follow him. He goes out a back door and touches a brick and the whole wall splits down the middle folding into itself on either side.
