We had trouble falling asleep so Hermione, Raelynn, Penny, and I stayed up all night playing games and eating some of the sweets left over from the train. Raeylynn has fantastic multicolored hair and olive skin, while Penny has dark blonde hair.

When the sun shines through the blinds. My eyes widen, "Uh guys. We just stayed up all night." I point to the windows.

"Come on lets go take showers and then go get breakfast." Penny suggest, using her bed to hoist herself off of the floor. We all soon have a new outfit picked out and are ready to head for the showers. The girls showers are near the bottom of the staircase. There are a row of ten individual bathrooms each one containing a shower. I'm in and out within 15 minutes but the others take about an hour.

I sit in the common room, on a chair close to the fire. A student comes down and sits in the chair next to me. "Hi. My name is Parker. After classes today come down to the woods with Xavier." He stands up and leaves the common room. I stare after him completely transfixed, until the door shuts behind him.

"Ema. Are you alright?" Penny asks me concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's all just hitting me all at once." I say standing up. "Let's go get food. I'm hungry."

They laugh and we head downstairs together. Going through the large oak doors only a few students are awake. We sit down at the Gryffindor table and the plates around us begin to fill with sweet morning treats and snacks. I look up when I sense Xavier come through the door. I wave him over, he smiles when he sees me.

He grabs Blaise's arm and drags him over. "Why in the world are you up so early?" He asks plopping down next to me, hermione and Blaise start to chat about classes today.

"Well... we never actually fell asleep." I grab some pancakes off of the plate in front of me. "I need to tell you something after breakfast." I say lowly. He just nods his head ever so slightly and laughs at one of Penny's many jokes.

Students start to trickle in and eventually most of the seats are taken and the buzz of laughter makes me smile. A bell tolls signaling the end of breakfast. "First years, all classes will be taken with your houses. Gryffindor with Slytherin and Hufflepuff with Ravenclaw."

The lot of us stand up and make our way to transfiguration. I slow down and Xavier does the same. "Meet me out in the courtyard after classes. This kid named Parker mysteriously told me to bring you."

"Do you know what it could be? Is it serious?" He scrunches his eyebrows together, grabbing my arm, he looks me in the eyes, stopping me.

I shake my head and shrug my shoulders. "He was very vague about it." I grab his arm to keep up with the others.

Classes go by fast partly because they were just going over their rubrics and syllabuses. The air in the courtyard smells of fresh rain and wet leaves. I sit down onto one of the many benches and wait. I see Parker standing next to the entry way. I watch him, his eyes don't leave the forest almost like he's listening to something, and when he moves he moves carefully but at the same time carefree. When the sun shines on his cheek I swear I notice a shimmer of gold.

"Hey..."

"OH MY GOODNESS!!! You scared the living daylights out of me." I jump to my feet.

"Sorry." He says sheepishly. "There's something strange about him." He says observantly to himself. "It's like there is something under his skin."

"Tell me about it. It's almost like his skin is reflecting gold." I start towards him. Xavier follows.

"Ahh glad you could make it. Follow me." He says confidently. We don't say a word as we head towards the forbidden forest. We enter the forest and the sunlight vanishes.
