I woke up the next day feeling worse than ever. I had spent the whole night awake but lucky for me my eyes never showed any sleepiness.

Breakfast was a bit awkward as usual but I ate quickly and managed to get out of the house without Owan. Phew, finally some alone time.

"Wait!" Owan shouted from behind me. Oh wait never mind, my alone time was ruined.

"Do you really have to be with me at all times?" I asked. He shrugged, "Just trying to be a friend." "Okay" I shrugged and stared forward as we approached the school.

Once in school I headed for my class when suddenly I heard whispers. Oh gosh please tell me the ghosts weren't going to bother me now!?

Gray wisps of aura swirled around us but I knew Owan couldn't see them. Please, a whisper spoke. I swallowed and eyed the wisps. What do you want?, I thought aloud. Could they even hear me?

A cold shiver went down my back as if it were winter. "Does it feel cold?" Owan asked rubbing his arms. He could feel it apparently. "No" I mumbled.

This was all that so-called Aiden's fault! If he hadn't showed up then maybe these ghosts wouldn't be bothering me now!

I heard children laughing and a woman weeping with shouting also. I looked around trying to figure out what was happening.

I didn't mean to, a small voice said. I swallowed, Didn't mean what?

No response. Very annoying.

The whispers continued constantly that I failed my first pop quiz of the year. I felt like punching something so badly but I doubted the ghosts could touch me at all.

Being in gym didn't make anything better. I just sat on the bleachers making sure no one noticed I was supposed to be playing volleyball. "Oh my gosh! Did you see the new guy?" a girl behind me murmured.

"Totally! He was so hot! His eyes were so perfect I wish I had mismatched eyes too" another one answered.

I sighed and was about to get up when I realized they had just said mismatched eyes.

There was a guy with mismatched eyes in school? I shook my head ignoring the possibility.

"Yeah I know right? But his hair was even better. You think maybe he's foreign...maybe Goth but he's to handsome for that" the girl said.

I froze. His hair? No this must be just some random guy that I'm mistaking for someone else.

I walked down the bleachers and approached Owan. He was sitting alone on a bench waiting to get called back into volleyball.

"I'm leaving" I said softly. He gave me a look, "To where? You can't leave until class is over." "Well I can leave" I muttered and made my way out the exit.

At lunch.....

"So I heard Owan got hit by a ball pretty hard" Caleb smirked eyeing Owan who had a small icepack on his head where a small bruise was. "Shut up" Owan muttered surprising me with his words. "Who told you anyways?" Owan asked suspiciously.

Caleb shrugged, "A bird told me." Nageeta giggled. I rolled my eyes. Yeah right.

"How were you in gym?" Caleb asked me, leaning a bit towards me. His blond hair fell over his eyes which had tinted glasses over them. "I ditched class" I muttered taking a bite out of my burger.
