The Next Day:

(Third Person POV)

Wilbur woke up to the sound of his mom calling him. He looked over at his clock; it was 12:30 pm. He moaned and shouted, "Five more minutes."

"Wilbur, you have slept through half of the day already. I'm sure (Y/n) would like to spend time with you."

He grunted and jumped out of bed. He put on some clothes, brushed his teeth, and soaked his hair with gel before running to the garage.
"Lewis, we need to go back to that house now."

"I know. Go get (Y/n)," Lewis said, handing him his scanner pack.

(Wilbur's POV)

I ran back to the house and knocked on (Y/n)'s door. When I looked inside to find she wasn't there, I ran through the halls, searching. Eventually, I bumped into Carl.

"Wilbur, are you taking (Y/n) back today?"

"I can't even find her, Carl. We are going to go back to Old Town today. Have you seen her?"

"Hmm... I think she went outside..."

"Sweet! Now, Carl, call me only if there is an extreme emergency. Who knows what might happen while we're gone."

"Are you sure you don't wanna just tell your dad?"

"I already did. He's in the garage waiting for me," I replied, referring to Lewis sarcastically.

"Your future dad."

"Yeah, no way! I've already been in enough trouble as it is."

"Hugh! Well, you better get going before your mom finds out about what you've been getting into!"

"Alright, Carl."

Meanwhile...

(Your POV)

I was inside what looked like a giant hamster ball outside. I had stepped in front of a machine in the front yard accidentally, and it placed a bubble around me before I was pushed into a pathway. I rolled through obstacles and turns grudgingly, eventually finding myself shooting through a short mechanic tunnel that led to a watercourse, which took a long time to get through. At the end of my ride, a hand popped the ball I was in, and I fell on my stomach.
"Ow."

"(Y/n)?" Wilbur called, running up to me. He flipped over the shrubs and landed in front of me, helping me up. "I have been looking all over for you!"

"You have?"

"Yes, we got to check out the house. Come on!"

"Oh yeah!"

We got Lewis and started walking towards the city. When we reached there, Wilbur took us in the opposite direction of Old Town.

"Wait, are we going the right way?" I asked, confused.

"Yes, we are going to the Transit Station."

"The what station?"

"Transit. It's a small public train that takes you where you need to go. We'll get to the Samuelsons' house faster if we use it."

"Oh, cool."

"Wait, don't they only carry one person per trip?" asked Lewis.

"Not the Multi Trams. Those carry up to eight people. Now we have to hurry. It's only a matter of time before mom finds out who (Y/n) is."

I looked at him, confused.
"Why do you say that?" I asked worriedly.

"Well, mom likes to talk about her old best friend a lot. Yesterday night, after everyone was in bed, I was trying to catch one of Uncle Art's ZumZat aliens. I accidentally chased it into my parents' room, where it knocked over some boxes, then ran off. I noticed a framed picture on the floor. It had 'Best Friends' engraved in the frame." He handed me a folded piece of paper.
