Chapter 3: Normal Day? Part 3

(Wilbur POV)

I arrived in Lewis's time period, 2007. I looked for a good place to land.
'Maybe the roof of the orphanage? Nah. Maybe in an alley? Perfect!' I slowly landed in a darkened alleyway.
"Wilbur Robinson has landed completely undetected," I said to myself, not knowing that someone was walking by.

(Your POV)

I was taking a stroll, trying to clear my head. It helped me relax, but I was a bit sad about Lewis and Goob leaving.
'Sure, I could call them, but it isn't the same. Franny and I talk, but I don't see her every day.'
"If only Wilbur Robinson were here to keep me company," I said sarcastically, chuckling.

As I was walking, a big gust of wind came from an alley to my right. I decided to check it out. I turned and stepped into the alleyway. At first, all I could see was dust flying from the ground for no apparent reason, but then a red car with wings appeared out of thin air. Someone jumped out of the machine and quickly looked around before running in the opposite direction. I carefully followed him, making sure not to make a sound.
'Strange... he's heading towards the orphanage. I wonder why?'

He started to run, so I started running. He kept going until he reached my window and jumped in.
'What on earth does he think he is doing in my room?'

I snuck up and observed him. He was looking around, confused. He was a tall, light-skinned teenager with dark chocolate brown eyes and dark black hair with a cowlick stuck up with gel. He looked familiar.
'Of course! That's Wilbur! And that red car must be his time machine!'

He then ran out the door and up towards the roof. I jumped through my window and followed him upstairs.

(Third Person POV)

(Y/n) was quick on Wilbur's tail. He ran to the roof and looked around, as of looking for someone.
"Where is he?" he said to himself. "Strange."

He started to back up, deciding to leave. (Y/n) stepped forward and tripped over a screwdriver that Lewis accidentally left before he moved. Wilbur furrowed his eyebrows and turned to see who was there. (Y/n) tumbled over and fell on top of him.
"Oww..." he groaned.

"OH MY GOSH! I'm SO sorry! I tripped," (Y/n) exclaimed, jumping off of him.

Wilbur just groaned and sat up, eyes shut and rubbing his head.
"You should watch where you're going," he said, a little coldly, filling (Y/n) with guilt.

"Uh, yeah, I am super sorry. I can be pretty clumsy. But what are you doing here?" she asked, offering a hand.

Wilbur took it and (Y/n) pulled him up. When he finally got a glimpse of her face, he froze, realizing that a girl just knocked him over. And not just any girl, a really, really, cute girl. Wilbur raised his eyebrows.
"Oh um, hi. No-no, it's fine, don't worry. I'm Robur Wilburson, I mean Robinson Wilbur, I mean," he cleared his throat, then smirked. "Wilbur Robinson, at you're service." He winked.

(Y/n) let go of his hand and replied,
"Oh, you're Wilbur? Lewis told me all about you and your adventure in the future! I'm so glad to be able to meet you. My name's (Y/n), (Y/n) (L/n). But you can call me (N/n)."

She smiled big and bright, trying to contain her excitement. Wilbur couldn't look away. He just kept staring, smiling to himself.

Snapping into reality, he managed to control his behavior.
"So, Lewis told you about the future, huh? Well, it wasn't easy, but we stopped the bowler hat guy just before he destroyed the future," he said, leaning against the wall. He slipped and landed on his back, with an embarrassed look on his face.

(Y/n) laughed, she thought the way he was acting was strange. He smiled coolly and quickly stood up.
"Meant to do that," he said, chuckling nervously. "Speaking of which, where is he?"

"Oh, they moved."

Wilbur borrowed his brows in thought, then lit up.
"Wanna see something cool?" he asked.

(Y/n) nodded and said, "Sure."

Wilbur motioned her to follow him and led her to the edge of the roof. He held up a keychain and pressed one of the buttons, making his time machine fly over to them.

Jumping in, he held out his hand.
"Want to go to the future?"
