Xavier's Pov-
7-17-17

Swipe left, lower cut, push back, hit stomach with opposite end, turn around, duck, kick right, punch left, uppercut to the jaw, and stab.

This is continuous for every vampire they give me to fight.

Paris is fighting the King, the plan has turned to be wrong so we have the biggest war battle going on.

I sigh, stabbing another before sitting on a rock, watching werewolf after werewolf fall to the ground in defeat, vampire after vampire disappearing to the woods in their hiding places.

Damn their fast little creatures..

I know that we are losing this war, but our soldiers are not allowed to quit fighting until Paris calls it off. Which by the look of things, she won't do that anytime soon.

I watch as she aims for a stab but stops, looking at the king. He waits for her to kill him but she doesn't as she steps away, dropping her weapon.

What the hell is she doing?

She yells, the whole fight stopping as we listen with our ears, the faraway voice sounding like she's talking right to you. Even the vampires in the woods stand up, listening carefully, their fangs out.

"I did not come here, to watch as everyone of each of our populations die." She speaks like a true leader, her eyes blazing on anyone who dares to betray her.

King Grayson still looks up at her, his fangs out and his body is bent over as he begs for breath.

"I came here to end this war, to see who really is the most powerful. But the King has proved me wrong." Everyone stops breathing, her words still ringing in the air.

"King Grayson has been my childhood bestfriend since we were born, running in diapers. We met when my father and his father did a business deal to keep peace for as long as they rein. Then the rogues started in, and not the ones in our pack. Then Ocean came along.. we started tearing at each other's throats. But what has been proved here today is that-" she stops, capturing her breath in the silent air around us, her eyes settling in on my betrayed ones.

"Every group of people, werewolves, vampires, humans, whatever they are.. We're the same and we should live in harmony."

My body is rigid, my whole body becomes one shaking piece of anger and I can't help myself as I look around at all the soldiers who died today. Thousands of werewolves, and hundreds of vampires.

This war was not equal.

We're not the same.

Paris deserves pain.

My wolf takes over, my eyes becoming black and Paris still looks at me, her face emotionless.

Legend smiles at her and she finally looks at him, offering one back because she's finally chose him, he's her mate and I'm the bad guy.

I'm the one who messes everything up.

She hurt me, and I'm the one to blame? No.

No it's not me, it's her.

My growl makes the birds stop tweeting, people stop breathing, and everyone's eyes meet mine.

But I'm not paying attention, I can only see red.

So that's the only thing I make.

-

I've been in this cell for 21 days and they still are making the verdict. 21 days for killing a werewolf when I'm the alpha, an alpha who killed someone and I'm in a cell.

This is ridiculous.

They deserved it, they knew I would feel the pain and lash out, so I killed them.

I feel little to no regret, not after what they did to me.

Legend had always wanted her, he got the girl and me? I had to suffer.

Life's not fair, no matter if you're happy or not, it'll always find a way to tear you apart and make you fix yourself again.

But it's life, and you're lucky to have one.

"Alpha Xavier, they've reached their verdict." A guard says strongly, opening up the cell and putting silver chains on my wrists, the sizzling is sounding clear as the silver burns through my skin.

But I feel nothing, I don't care anymore.

No mark, no pain.

It's over.

"So as we go through the doors, instead of sitting on the chair in front on the sir, you'll sit beside him. Okay?" The guard asks and I nod my head, barely noticeable.

"Okay good.." He mutters as he opens the door and let's me walk through them. I can feel the pack glaring holes into my head, wondering what they will say. Will I be convicted of murder and live in the cell? Or I'll I go back to my daily life in my pack?

I move slowly a towards the seat beside the sir, who is in his 70's with light gray hair and wrinkles forming around his lips from frowning all the time.

"Alpha Xavier of the War Pack, do you have anything to add to your regular speech? Or would you just like to hear your verdict?" The sir says, his voice ringing through the silent hall.

My wolf begs me to plead to the people that I didn't mean to, or that he didn't mean to take control and do it. But I don't listen to him, he made me murder someone.

And that's bad enough.

"I killed a person, what else is there to say?" I ask emotionlessly, and the sir looks down at the papers that read my future and sighs, looking up at me with a glint of life in his eyes.

"We all know you didn't want to Alpha Xavier, it's your wolf." The sir looks down once again before looking up at the crowd, and analyzing their faces, their emotions, and the thoughts running through their heads.

This will be a day marked in history.

This will be a day, that will always be known by those around me.

This, will be a day, I like to call freedom.

"Alpha Xavier of the War Pack, you murdered Alpha Paris Evans of the Rogue Pack, you're ex-mate: but written in the law it says that it is not an alphas fault, it is its wolf's. Therefore, you're free to go, but we have one problem."

I listen closely, wincing at Paris's name.

"Since you killed Paris, you're wolf will be taken from your mind and you will live a life as an Alpha with no emotions. You will make a new pack, and you will rein alone."
