Poppy walked along the trail with the picnic basket hanging on her shoulder. She sang along with the birds and skipped along the trail. She hadn't seen Creek all day, and she wouldn't lie, she kind if missed him, but Branch was nice to be around, especially when it was just him and Poppy.

Poppy felt as though she had seen a new side of Branch, but she didn't know exactly why he had acted the way he had. Maybe he was just in a "mood" today.

Just then, a bush moved. She looked over and froze. Before she could do anything, two purple arms wrapped around her waist from behind and hugged her.

Poppy blushed. "Creek?"

He pulled away. "Sorry, I just....missed you. I missed the picnic, and I'm sorry. I was out looking for you guys and I got lost."

She smiled. "How did you get lost? We're a few feet away from your house!"

Creek rubbed the back of his neck. "Yes, but I, um...I didn't know which way to go...."

Poppy nodded, unsure of him, but ignored that. "You weren't spying on us....were you?"

Creek shook his head, knowing deep down that he was lieing. "Why do you ask?"

Poppy look at deep breath and looked down. "No reason...."

Creek raised his eyebrows. "Poppy....what are you hiding?"

"It was an accident, okay?!"

Creek smirked. He had her. She was admitting it.

"What was?"

Poppy narrowed her eyebrows. "You know-why should I tell you? What does it matter to you?"

Creek shook his head, then looked down, careful to hide the smirk being formed on his face right at that moment. "Nothing, I'm just...worried about you. I want you to be safe, and when you're acting different, it worries me."

Poppy rolled her eyes and looked at him. "Look, are you coming to my part tonight or not?"

Creek took one of her hands. Poppy looked down at it, still frowning. "Of course I am. I would never miss my crush's party."

He let go of her hand, and walked off. Poppy stood there, unsure of what he had just said.

Crush?

Little did she know, Creek was smirking a murmuring hurtful words the whole way back to his house.
