Chapter 5

June's .pov.

*RiNGGG rINgggg*

The alarm went off for all of us to get up,
"It's to early for me to even blink,"
  Oli hissed into his pillow.
I automatically rolled my eyes.

Some how Fin was as sound asleep as a dead moose.

"Oli please wake up the dead moose." I laughed

"Okey dokie,"
"Up and at 'em Finny." Oli slapped Fin not so lightly on the face.

       "Whose Adam?" Finn mumbled
  Oli pulled Fin up, Fin's hair was an adorable flop of sandy fluff on his head.

I have to say he was really attractive but I doubt he felt the same about me. 
Our captain came with a sneer glued on his face,
"time to line up you little bastards."

      We start to walk into the mess
hall.
We all hurriedly sit down with our food.
The room smelled like bleach          and lemons. I hardly touch my pancakes and yogurt,
but Oli can't get enough of the waffles.

I glance in front of me at Finn,
   he got a steak the size of his head,
       (his head was almost as big as his mouth,)
Oli and I stared at him while he loudly stuffs his mouth with the steak and potato.

"You know this is breakfast right Finny?"
Oli said with a little disappointment and worry written on his face.

       "Well since I had breakfast for dinner yesterday,
I thought I should even if out now when I can." Fin retorted.

I crack up at that,
Finn made the cutest giggle
because 
Oli was making a weird face trying to keep a straight face.
Oli just started to chug milk to try and stop struggling.

  We all continued to eat and talk peacefully for the rest of breakfast.
Our caption led us back to our dorms to get ready for the big day.

    We all had outfits with different colors on them.
  I had a baby blue skintight suit on with my name tag on it,
Oli's was a deep yellow skintight suit,
and his name tag
Oliver walker Aldridge.

Finn has a matching color on his suit, his name tag read
Finch everton Oiseau

   The color of is outfit really brought out Finn's gray eyes not to mention his lean figure.
I looked away my pale face laced with pink.

     Our captain came in after we had all finished changing to tell us we had thirty minutes to do "whatever" with each other, except killing." He smells just like gunpowder.

     I sat down on to Oli's bed with a thud, he and Finn were already pressed up against each other talking and stuff.
Oli was trying to calm Finn down, "it'll all be okay Finny" Oli puts his hand on Fins knee as he's talking.

       We were all getting nervous.         with how soon we will be leaving.

"I'm afraid of both of you dying and leaving me all alone with my mother to look after."
He mutters
His mother Thea drinks more cheap whisky than water and hits him when she gets mad.
A lot of the time he stays with us.

"I don't think I could handle you guys dying,"
a small tear slides down his cheek.

Oli's pov----------------------------------

    
I pulled Fin into the warmest
hug I could manage,
I wiped his tear away with the back of my hand.
I really didn't want to cry in front of them or anyone for that matter, I had to remain strong.
I swear that I can see a split millisecond of jealousy of June's face, but it must've been my imagination.

"That's crazy I would never get myself killed without you," I say jokingly.
He giggled making me feel all warm in the inside.

Me and Finn have been friends before we were born, we've been through everything together.

I already know about June's massive crush on Finn, whenever I ask her about it she just throws rocks at me.

"What do you think is in the forest?" I wondered out loud.

"Most likely trees," June quipped.

"Wow really, I would have never guessed" I retorted

"What an impressive observation," Finn said through quiet laughs.

"What if there are big monsters with like 20 eyes and 40 legs with fur and scales," I said loudly.

"We should be serious," Finn urged with still a trace of a smile on his dark caramel skin.

He only had a few freckles visible on his skin, I had a ton which I didn't care for.

    I stared into his eyes studying
them with carefulness while he was talking to June.
His eyes are a deep gray, it was like a rain clouds in the summer and splashing in puddles,
they always have a happy sparkle to them.
"What do you think Oli?" June eyed me

"ye-yeah sure," we all just stared at each other.

"Well um okay," Finn smiled.

"I have a question June," I tilted my head to her.

She hummed her lips in response,
"Where did you go last night?"

"To bed," she said a little to fast.

"B-but I didn't see you in bed or in our room" I continue to press the question.

"Fine, I talked with Winnie," she said with pink dancing along her freckled face.

"Winnie, like Winnie Aster, who you were like bestest friends with a few years ago until her brother died?" Finn pipped up knitting his eyebrows together.

"Um yeah, it was nice, she apologized for not talking to me and how when we're done with the forest thing we should be friends again." She smiled at the thought of last night.
"She was always really cute," I teased

"Ughhhh," Finn groaned and hit my shoulder while rolling his eyes.

       I smirked "jealous?" I teased him.
    He just smiled and rolled his eyes even harder.

"You are NOT going to get with Winnie, and that is final," she hit me in the same spot as Finny.

I through my hands up in surrender.
"Everyone in line!"
Mr.Caption person said with unneeded anger.
I sighed and got up behind June and in front of Finny.
I start to stare at the miniature bookshelf. The books were so neat and perfect it was almost upsetting.

      I never got to really read for fun, because we never really had the money for books. 
One title read 'twist and shout' why would it be named after some movement and noises.

*Slap*  I try hard to muffle a cry,
the pain knocked me to the ground and I hit it with a bang.
I instantly feel a hand from behind me around my arm pulling me up.
