Chapter 18 : Reunion Party

Soon we pulled away from each other as we catch our breath. We stared at each other for quite a while until reality hit us back. Then we giggle.

"Go to sleep, Seunghee," he said and helps me lay down.

Kai POV
Jihyo has been avoiding me ever since I remember. It's been a month since Jihyo decided to quit her job. Stupid me, I agrees and file up her resume. Ever since them, we don't contact each other. Everything seems to be back as before when Jihyo and I had a fight because of Myungsoo. A worthless fight to be exact. It's actually the same but somehow it's different. It's different because this time it's Kyungsoo, my own best friend.

I realized that I love her too much. Too much that every time I saw her with other guts, I'm literally dying. It's hurting me so much.

I wonder why am I so coward. Why can't I just say I love her? Where have she been? Is she doing fine?

Why can't I have the same courage as Minhyun when he confessed his feeling towards Seunghee? How does he did it so easily?

Myungsoo POV
"Come on it be fun, everyone going to be there. Meet you guys tonight," the called has ended.

"If Jihyo attend it tonight, Kai will be there too," I said.

"Well, they're friend since childhood. I'm sure both of them will attend the party," Sungjong said.

It's been years long and now the school organized a reunion party for our batch. I took a sip of my cup of coffee. I've been disturb by the cafe door ringing everything customer enter. The cafe was crowded with sea of people. I'm quite impressed because every day, new faces appeared. I have no doubt since I'm an idol now, and idol who owns the cafe.

But then, I saw a familiar faces seated right at the corner she was busying herself with her smart phone.

"Song Jihyo?"

"Kim Myungsoo?"

"What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?"

"What? No! This is my cafe. I'm the owner so I have the right to be here."

"Oh my gosh, that's mean you are L? The one from Infinite?" She exclaimed.

The conversation goes on and on. We seemed to forget about the fight we used to had she grows up as a pretty young lady.

Jihyo smiled, "have you heard about the reunion party?"

I just nods it off.

"I'm having a doubt actually. It's a reunion party and everyone will be there. Kai will be there," she said.

"I guess the fight still on huh?"

The conversation goes on and in until we realized that it almost the time for our reunion party to start. I decided to pick her up at her place and drive to school together and she said yes. I have no intention to gain her heart or to make her fall in love with me or playing with her feeling just like how I buses to. Not thus time, i am sincere to be one of her friend.

Jihyo was wearing her best look for the day. She was wearing the red elegant free Kyungsoo bought for her. She was satisfied that the dress still fit in her body and showing her body shaped perfectly.

The sound of knock was heard and she grabbed her purse along with her smart phone and straight down stairs. Before opening the main door of her apartment, she straightening her dress and has a last yet quick look at herself with her smart phone camera.

Done with that, she twisted the door knob and almost immediately she greeted him.

He was speechless for he never knew such a young lady could be so beautiful. It's an angel. He was looking at an angel who was standing right in front of him.

He snapped back to reality when he noticed Jihyo cheeks was slightly blushing. He told her that she was very pretty tonight. He even tease her telling her that he should have tackled her from the start which both of them laughed it off.

They soon drove to the school which probably already packed by now. Jihyo somehow fell uneasy when they reached the school. She was wondering would Kai be in there for the night too. He too noticed Jihyo was somehow upset.

Before he makes a move and out of the car he asks, "is there anything you wanna say? Are you fine?"

"No. I'm fine, really."

He just nods it off and out of the car. Being the gentleman he us, he opens up the door for Jihyo. Everyone was witnessing them and start teasing them as a couple.

"See, they shipping us together. Are you sure you don't wanna be my girlfriend?" He said with a smirking smile.

"Never," Jihyo replied with the most playful face applied.

Myungsoo smile genuinely and offer his hand to Jihyo which she gladly accepted it. He intertwined them soon after. They walk in the hall hand in hand.

Once they entered the hall, Jihyo started to roam every angle of the hall, hoping that she could spot Kai. She has a doubt of Kai attending the reunion party. Even though she knows Kai would never interested in this kind of party, her heart convinced her that Kai was there to.

"He's not coming," she whispers to herself.

But there he is, watching her from a far.
