Another set of 100-word drabbles done by twitter request when I was too lazy to drag out my computer and write something real:
Attachment (G)
Scott didn't think it would happen this fast, this instant attachment. He'd heard of it, obviously, and he'd felt a bit of it with his niece and nephews. But he thought it was exaggerated. Needed more time or help from genetics or something.
But leaning against the bathroom door, watching Mitch give their brand new three-year-old a bath, he feels like his heart will burst. He loves Mitch always and he already loves Andy just as much.
And he also realizes, as he laughs at Mitch's face after a particularly exuberant splash, that he's never been happier in his life.
Redundant (PG-13)
Mitch stirs blearily. Pulls his covers over his head. Groans when his alarm doesn't fuck off and die just because he wills it.
Eventually he orders PostMates. Because caffeine. Immediately. For two. Yes.
He gets ready quickly, but he's still only half dressed when the doorbell rings.
"Scott?" he calls. "The coffee I ordered is here!"
But as he does, he also hears "I got Starbucks. Can you get it?" from Scott's bedroom.
