When I Looked Into Your Eyes

Chapter 12

1 year later...

The baby was born and it is a boy. His name's Damien. Actually it was really cool to have a little brother but it could also get very annoying sometimes. All the crying and stuff. Still it was cool.

"Danica could you come downstairs? Someone's here for you!" mom yelled from downstairs. "Coming!" I yelled back and went downstairs. "Jason!" I yelled and went to hug him. "Hey baby." he said. He picked me up and spun me around. Then he kissed me.

Jason and I are dating for 3 months now. My dad didn't approve at first because you know; the thing with Toby... But like 3 weeks after knowing him, he also liked him.

"I missed you so much!" I said when we pulled away from each other. "I missed you more." he said and leaned in again. "Wanna go upstairs?" I asked. "Well, I wanted to go to the park with you!" he said and smiled at me. "Mom?" I asked. "Yeah, you cacn go!" she said smiling. "Then I'll go upstairs and change!" I said and went to my room again. I changed into jeans and a sweater. Though it was just late summer. it was as cold as hell. "I'm ready to go!" I said when I was downstairs again. "Then let's go!" Jason said and took my hand. I said bye to my mom and Damied. Jason also did and we walked to the park.

*At the park*

We sat down at a bench. "I know this is a bit soon but" he said. He took out a box from his jacket and opened it. Inside was a beautiful ring. Wait. I know this is a bit soon but... Ring!? Don't get me wrong, I love him but I'm just 16! I can't get married! I bet he saw my concerned face. "No! I'm not proposing!" he said chuckling. "Not yet!" he added smirking. "This is a promise ring." he said and took it out to put it on my finger. "Jason, I-I don't know what to say!" I said with tears in my eyes. "Thank you." I said and hugged him. "Anything for my girl." he said and kissed my head. We then started to walk around again but suddenly it started to rain. "Let's go to my place!" I said. He nodded and we walked to our house again.

"Mom, dad?" I asked. No response. I pulled out my phone to call them but I saw that I got a message from mom. It read;

Hey sweety! Dad, Damien and I are going to uncle Carlos' place! Gonna be back around 10! Love you:*

Xoxo, Mom

I replied with a simple 'Okay.' and put my phone on the table. "What do you want to do?" I asked as we both sit on the couch. "Maybe just hang out and watch some movies?" he asked. "Sounds good to me!" I said and smiled at him. "Then, which movie do you want to watch?" he asked. "I don't know. What about Catching Fire?" I asked. "Good choice." he smiled and I put in the movie. After that, I sat beside Jason again and snuggled up to him. He put his arm around me and I started the movie.

I don't know when but I fell asleep during the movie.

James' POV

We finally arrived home again and I parked the car. Emily and I got out of the car and she went to the backseat to get Damien. She took him out and we went into the house.

When we got in, we saw Danica and Jason on the couch sleeping. "This is so cute! Take a picture." she said. She's right; they reallyy looked cute laying there in each others arms. I pulled out my phone and took a picture.

I posted it on Instagram with the caption;

Just came home to this! I remember @DanicaMaslow throwing up at the mention of boys but now she can't get away from them, well @JasonZCarter. She grew up so much and fast. #ProudDad

I clicked post and within a second millions of people commented it with mostly "Danica got engaged?".  Also on Twitter people tweeted me that.

@jamesmaslow woah! Danica is getting engaged?! In the age of 16!?

@jamesmaslow OMG! I CAN'T WAIT FOR DANICA'S AND JASON'S WEDDING!!! #EXCITED

@jamesmaslow it was clear that they would get married someday but this soon.. Anyways they're happy!

Then more people started to tweet about an engagement ring that was reportedly on her ring finger. I took a quick look at her and also saw it.

"Emily, come here!" I yell-whispered. "What's up?" she whispered back. "Look at her ring finger!" I said. She gasped a little. "Do you really think?" she asked. "Yes. Rushers also have been tweeting me about it!" I said. "Let's wait and ask her about it tomorrow!" she said and went to Damien's room to tuck him in.

I went to our room and got changed. When I was ready Emily also came and changed. Then we went to bed.

The next morning...

Danica's POV

I woke up and saw, I wasn't in my room and someone was laying next to me. I saw the person next to me was Jason and smiled when I remembered yesterday. "You up already?" Jason whispered. "Yeah." I said smiling. He kissed my forehead and stook up. He held his hand out for me and I took it. We walked into the kitchen. "Good morning!" I said to mom and dad. "Morning!" they both said. "Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Maslow!" Jason said. "Jason, how many times do we still have to tell you? You don't need to call us Mrs. and Mr.! Just call us Emily and James!" dad said. "Okay then, James!" he said smiling. We sat down and ate breakfast.

"Nice ring you have there!" mom said. "I know." I said smiling at Jason. "Do you want to tell us why you're smiling like that at him?" dad asked. "Well this ring is from him!" I said, still smiling. I heard getting notifications on my phone. I stood up and went to grab it. I got it and opened the notification. It was from Twitter. It was a congratulations tweet for an engagement from a fan of my dad. Jason was also tagged. I opened the other ones and they were the same. "Why does everyone think we're engaged?" I asked sitting back with them "What?!" Jason asked and I showed him my phone. "Well I posted a pic from you two sleeping last night and they noticed your ring." dad said. "This is a promise ring!" I said. "What a relief!" mom and dad said at the same time. I tweeted that it was just a promise ring to clear things up.

When we finished eating, Jason and I went to my room. We did nothing expect for making out and laughing.

Jason's mom called and he had to leave.

"Bye babe!" he said. "Bye!" I said and he leaned in to kiss me. Then he left. 

"Danica, can you watch Damien for us while we're out tomorrow?" mom asked. "Sure! Where are you going?" I asked. "Well, your dad asked me out." mom said smiling. I could tell she was very happy to finally have a date with him again. "Aww!" I said. Wow, that was weird.  I went to my room and put on some music.

The next day...

"Have fun! And one more thing; Can Emma come over?" I asked as I was standing in the doorway with my parents. "Sure!" dad said. "Okay, bye!" I said. "Bye!" they said and went to the car.

I took my phone and called Emma.

*Phone conversation*

Emma: Hi!

Danica: Hey Emma!

Emma: What's up?

Danica: Do you want to come over?

Emma: Sure! Let me ask my mom! Hey mom, can I go to Danica's place? Sure!

Danica: Okay! See you in a bit!

Emma: Bye!

*End of phone conversation*

I put away my phone and went to check on Damien. He was asleep. Then I went to the living room and sat on the couch with my laptop, playing some games. Like 15 minutes later the front door's bell rung and I went to open it.

"Hey Emma! Come in!" I said as I opened the door. "Hey!" she said and we hugged. "Any news about you and Jason?" she asked smirking. "He gave me this promise ring!" I said squealing, holding my hand up for her to see it. "Aww!" she said. Damien started to cry and we both ran to his room. "I'm here now." I said and rocked him on my arm. "Can you make a bottle for him, while I'm calming him down?" I asked. Emma nodded her head and walked downstairs. "Let's go with her." I said smiling at him.

I walked downstairs with him on my arms. "Here's the bottle!" Emma said and gave me Damien's bottle. "Thanks." I said and started to feed him. His eyes closed after like 4 seconds of drinking. I brought him to his bed and laid him down. Then I walked down again and Emma and I talked the whole time.
