Dedicated to pmudd83"Do you guys think I should put it as my profile picture ?" Sofia was asking the group when Camellia joined them for lunch. Her new friend had made a better effort at dressing up today with a classic version of boyfriend pants, a dark green shirt and a darker shade jacket. She had make up on and had curled her chestnut hair. Camellia internally rolled her eyes and sighed-- so much effort just to meet the @$shole. Sofia seems to be on cloud nine because of the photo she had taken with Neil- she was among the few who had gotten the chance to take one and actually have a one on one since she was writing the article on the businessman for the school paper .She hah had the privilege of an exclusive 10 min interview before his speech.
Camellia put the sandwich she had gotten on the table before sitting next to Caleb who was devouring a big plate of spaghetti and meat balls.
"Hi guys" she greeted them as usual.
"Oh Camie! We thought you were not going to show up. What took you so long? Were at the speech? Mr Kramer's speech? I hope you were, I think that's it definitely deserves the top spot in my favorite speeches, he was so charismatic, handsome, knowledgeable, utter perfection..."
Sofia finished with a dreamy look. Looks like someone developed a crush on the A-hole."Will you let the person respond at least? Geez Sof, we know you are in love with the dude but please calm the f down." It seems like Tim was not happy with Sofia's new crush. Sofia ignored him and continued--"he was very helpful today; he offered such great advice to us students for our career and how to get into his company. Trust me Camie, that's like one of the hardest one to get in,but if you manage to get an internship then a full time position, it's like you hit the jackpot. They treat their employees so well that their employee retention rate has always been in the 90's %. I took a lot of notes. You and Caleb should both apply and I will help you guys with the application. You have to start early though since there are so many processes involved, I think there are around three to four interviews and they take only two interns every year." Camellia was fully convinced that Sofia had made no mistake in choosing her career-- the girl had the amazing talent of taking so fast without needing to take a breathe. She will no doubt make a good news reporter.
"Leave me out of this Sof, I'm not interested in that big fancy company."
" Which company are you guys talking about?" A new voice said.
"Hey Meera! I was just going to text you!" Leah said while waving her phone.
"Meera, what are you doing here?"
"Hi guys!" Meera greeted the group as if they were long time friends, then she turned back to Camellia and said in a reprimanding tone "You missy should seriously get a phone!" She took a seat and continued."Do you have any idea how hard it is to find you? If not for Leah telling me that you are usually here at this time, I would not have been able to find you?!"
"Yeah, I'll get one soon."
"How about the car? I think I'll take matters in my hand now. Just dump that metal crap and we'll get you a new car."
"I don't need a new flashy car." Camellia mumbled.
"Actually Meera, I'm the one fixing the car." Caleb said. "And I'm afraid that the spare part I was looking for is no longer available. I can do some more searching but it will be take a while. To be honest, I am not totally sure that it will work."
"Perfect! Now we can put that metal piece aside and actually focus on getting you an acceptable car. Unless you want to use the ones in the garage."
"Fine, I'll look for one soon."
"How about we do this, Caleb will you find her a car? We'll give you 10% in commission. I don't trust her in that department." Meera said. From what she had observed and what the others had told her, she was sure that offer would help Caleb's wallet a lot.
