Chapter 2

The sun was setting, the orange sky reflecting on the sea caused it to sparkle as if it contained rubies underneath. It was an absolutely breathtaking moment; the atmosphere was utterly romantic. Ace and Camellia were walking down hand in hand, looking at each other lovingly. They had eyes only for each other, completely oblivious to the outside world. They were so deeply in love.

Ace looked at Camellia, her dark brown mane was messily lying on her shoulders. She was wearing a white bikini exposing her flat stomach, long sexy legs and tanned body. She was gorgeous and Ace felt his breath stuck at the girl he loved.

Once they arrived at a remotely deserted section of the beach, Ace thought it was the perfect place. The white sand was smooth under their feet. A coconut tree was bent, just like a bench. Camellia quickly went towards the tree and sat on it, motionning for Ace to do as her. She was happy. They were celebrating their two year anniversary. It had been two years since they had set eyes on each other and they were both thankful of the day.

Suddenly Ace dropped down on his knees and faced Camellia with so much love and admiration that she could have burst with happiness and adoration.

He reached for his pockets and drew out a ring. It was a diamond surrounded by two sapphires encrusted platinum ring. It was an exquisite piece of jewellery which matched the necklace he had given to her on her birthday.

The sapphire shined as his blue eyes. The color of his eyes was the reason she loved that particular.

The fading sun made the diamond and stone sparkle.

"Camellia, you have already stolen my heart. You know exactly the depth of my love for you. I can't really put in words what I feel for you; its surreal, magical. I love you so much that I can't imagine life without you. Camellia Penelope Thorne will you enlighten my life by accepting to be my wife? I promise to try my best to turn the world around you into your heaven."

Camellia smiled. It always astonish her how the big bad arrogant and bossy Ace turn into a complete romantic for her. He was a changed man around her even if she loved him in all his facets. But she would never tell him that. She preferred the kind and romantic Ace. However she could not help but tease him.

"Oh my Ace, that was a cheeky line you know." She lauhged, the sound overwelhing him. He was nervous, desperate of her answer and all she said was how cheeky his lines were?

"Camellia you are killing me." He was still down his knees . His blue eyes desperate for her answer. His handsome face was perfect, his short chestnut hair was spiked. Under his beach shirt lied his delicious toned muscled body. He was pure perfection, considered as a Greek God by most and this man loved simple her. She knew his feelings for her, something he reminded her constantly. Her own feelings reflected his and she would die rather than being away from him. Yet here he is the great Ace nervous of her response.

"You know my answer Ace." She said in the most serious voice she could. His face changed into a pained expression at her tone. And when she broke into a smile he felt like a child finally being allowed to eat a chocolate after months of deprivation.

"Yes Ace George Logan I accept the privilege of becoming your wife." She said in a husky tone deep with emotions.

"Je t'aime mon amour."

He said while putting the ring in her finger.

"Moi aussi cheri" She said before he kissed her passionately. The sun had set and he carried her in a bridal style to their villas.

They made love the whole night, loving each other the whole time and Camelli fell asleep with a smile on her face.

She woke up with a sense of emptiness inside her. She felt loss and her whole body was aching. She opened her eyes and looked around the room. It was rather big but dull. The walls were painted white and looked impersonnal. She was connected to some machines. It seemed like she was in a hospital. But what happened? How did she land up in a hospital? She was scared. Where was Ace? Why was she alone. Then she remembered something important. Where was her baby?

As if to answer her questions, the door opened and walked in was a doctor and Ace's parents wearing a grim expression.

"What happened?" Camellia asked dreading the worst. Mummy and Daddy were only serious when something really bad or important happens.

"Oh baby, we are deeply sorry." Margaret, Ace's mom said tears rolling down her cheeks.

"What happened?" She asked again, a bit more demanding.

"Baby...we...Ace..." David tried to say but couldn't. He nodded towards the doctor who looked apologetically towards Camellia.

"Mrs Logan. I am really sorry to inform you that we couldn't save your husband and daughter." Camellia stayed motionless, trying to process the information.

"I deeply regret to say that they are both dead." the doctor continued.

It took a moment for Camellia to actually comprehend the meanings of what the doctor said. And when she finally grasped, her heart broke. She felt it, her eyes lost the little spark they had and she screamed at the top of her lungs.

She woke up in her roon crying and sobbing as usual. The pain which she tries her best ti numb with alcohol in the evening attacked her first thing in the morning.

The dreams haunted her and her mornings usually starts with pain.

After so much crying she no longer had tears, she just sobbed. Trying her best to be strong she climbed out of her bed and went in the bathroom to take a cold shower, trying to wake her up and make her forget the dreams... dreams which were actually reality, bits and pieces of her past...
