How it All Started

•Carmen's POV•
My name is Carmen Johnston.I'm 15 years old and I live in Bordertown (which is about 3 to 4 hours away from Swellview) with my dad and my mom. Well, my stepmom, my real mom died from brest cancer when I was 9 years old. When I was 2 years old, I had a dog and she died. When I found out she died I was so hurt that the ground started shaking and it was storming for two weeks straight. That's when my dad told me that I was just like him. Because he had the same powers I did. When he told me that, I was so shocked that I made my dad levitate off the ground. I had two powers so early in my life. Which eventually doubled by the age of 4. Then tripled by the age of 7. Then my mom died and it seems like my powers quadrupled. I was more powerful than my dad. Eventually, all those bad events that happened in my life has made me a different person. I went from a happy girl to a moody girl.
  Anyway, enough about my powers, one day, I was on my way home from school when I realized that my house was on fire. I quickly dropped my backpack and ran to my house. I used my water powers to put out the flames. Then I quickly look for my dad and stepmom. I found my stepmom in the backyard with bullet holes all over her chest. Then I got super worried about my dad because he was nowhere to be found. I noticed a red stain on the side walk. I put my finger on it and smelled it, it was my dads blood. I followed the stains to the woods and then I followed the scent of my dads blood to him. My father was all beat up and bruised. Then I noticed a huge cut across his stomach that was deep enough to touch his stomach. "Dad! What happened?!" I screamed.
"Go.... to.... Swellview..... Find.... your.... Uncle.... Ray....." he said horsely.
"Dad what are you talking about?" The sky started to turn gray.
"Find.... him.... and.... he.... will........" He fell quiet and he turned pale.
"Dad! DAD WAKE UP!!!!" I screamed into his chest. It started to rain. I came up from his chest and all of a sudden fire shot out from my mouth. I gained another power which was heat breath. I laid there for about 20 minutes and then I went back to the house and found some clothes that werent burnt and put those into a bag. Ibstarted walking to Swellview. I knew exactly where to find my uncle. At his store he owned.
