A New Superhero

•Carmen POV•

The gang and I rushed back to the Man Cave to find a impatient Ray sitting on the couch.

"Where were you guys I've been waiting for 30 minutes." Ray asked

"We've been in the forest playing with Carmen's ice powers." Jasper confessed.

"What did you want?" i asked bluntly.

"Carmen, I need to ask you something?" Ray said.

"What is it?" i said calmly.

"Do you want to become my sidekick along with Henry?" he asked rather sympathetic. Hoping i'd say yes.

I froze. I've always wanted to become a superhero. But i thought i would never had the chance. Besides, im not athletic enough to be a superhero. I don't have what it takes.

"But, im not athletic enough." i stuttered.

"It's okay, we'll train you." henry said.

I looked at henry and ray. They were both nodding their heads quickly and smiling. I turned around and looked at Jasper and Charlotte. They were doing the same thing.

"Okay, I'll be your second sidekick."

"YAY!!!" Charlotte yelled.

Everyone came at me and we shared a group hug. I didn't hug anybody but Henry.

Right when we pulled away Ray started to talk to me.

"Okay go to the back and pick your outfit."

I walked with Charlotte to the back room to pick out my costume.

There was so many choices! "I don't know what to pick! There's so many!" i said wide-eyed.

"I know why don't you just do your costume like Henry's." Charlotte suggested.

"Okay."

I went to the closet and picked (media above{except for the sunglasses}) and put it on.

After i was done with that i walked out to the man cave. Before i walked out to where henry and the boys could see me, i froze in my tracks. Charlotte noticed and got in front of me.

"What's wrong?" she asked concerned.

"What if they don't like it?"

"Carmen they'll love it."

"I know, but..."

"Wait are you doubting yourself?" Charlotte asked surprised.

"No! Yes! Maybe! I don't know!"

"You are. Talk to me, why are you doubting yourself when you know that you look good."

"I'm not worried about looking good, im worried about putting henry and ray in danger. Again."

"Carmen, you don't have worry about that. You are going to do great. Plus, you are going to get trained by one of the best fighters in the world and by your boyfriend, who you say motivates you without even trying to."

"I guess you're right."

"How about this, before you walk out, i'll do you a little introduction. Like a runway model or something."

"Okay." When i said that she pulled me into a hug and smiled at me before walking out.

"Okay fellas, introducing, your new sidekick, Carmen!" she yelled.

That was my cue to walk out. No turning back now. I slowly made my way out to the man cave.

As i walked out i looked at ray first, he was smiling. Then i looked at Jasper, who was nodding his head in appoval. Finally i looked at henry, who was wide-eyed.

I smiled and walked towards henry. I stopped in front of him and looked at him in his eyes.

"Do you like it?" i asked with hope in my voice.

He looked at me up and down and smiled, but he didn't answer my question.

Next thing i knew he cupped my face and kissed me. I instinctively kissed him back with a little bit of shock.

He pulled away after a few seconds and smiled.

"I'll take that as a yes, i guess." i said giggling.

"Anyway, Carmen," ray said, annoyed "you have your costume, you already have your weapons."

"No i don't" i prostested

"Technically you do." henry said

"You have superpowers." Jasper said in a 'duh' tone.

I nodded my head in approval "good point."

"Now all you need is a superhero name." Charlotte said.

"Can i just use my name?" i asked.

"No you can't!" Ray yelled.

"Why?"

"Because, if you use your name, then your identity will be easier to figure out by our schoolmates, my parents, and mist importantly, bad guys. Then they'll figure out where you live, which will put my family in danger, and then they'll follow you to here where the man cave is. Where they can kill all of us easily!" henry explained frantically.

"Okay i won't use my name."

"Good." ray said.

I thought long and hard about my superhero name. Then it hit me. "How about Karma?" i asked.

"Why Karma?" jasper asked.

"Well, almost everything in my life was like karma to me. That's one reason. Secondly, karma will happen to bad guys. Finally, it's partially in my name." i explained.

"How?" jasper asked again.

I face palmed.

"CARM- MEN" charlotte said, sounding out my name.

"Oh okay." Jasper said understanding.

We all walked over to the tubes. I said the oath that Henry said before he became Kid Danger.

"Well then, now all i can say is welcome to the team Karma." Ray said.

I smiled.

"Here is your Wiz Watch and your gumball tube." henry said handing me the items.

I proudly took them from Henry and grinned. I am finally on Team Captain Man.
