Heba pov
why is he pacing? we hide there behind a wardrobe waiting for him to move away so we can make a run for the open window. A guard burst into the room. "pardon the irruption my king but the prisoners have escaped" he rushed to say
"what?!" the pharaoh questioned or...half exclaimed and followed the guard out the door. now's our chance, when the door was closed I grabbed some sheets off the bed I'll keep these I thought to myself as I tied the sheets to the pole on the end of the bed and draped it out the window. "you first, you're lighter" I instructed Akefia and he did so with a nod, I kept watch, when he was about half way down I went down. I heard shouts from inside the palace as I climbed down the walls. when we reached the bottom I gave the sheets a swift pull and it untied. it's pretty dark outside so its easier not to be seen. I saw a guard so we quickly made our way to a near by bush and hid there until the guard was out of sight then made our way towards the opening where two guards stood, I pushed Akefia behind the wall and he let out a surprised squeal, luckily no one heard him, I mimed for him to stay quiet. (A/N yes I'm sorry for Akefia's personality in this story but I wanted to make him different.....he's always mean....) and he mimed the words 'sorry'. I snuck behind one of the guards while Akefia stayed behind the wall ready to throw a rock on my signal. when I was close enough to the guard I put my thumb up and he threw the rock nailing the other guard in the head while I tackled the one I was near. "GO!" I shouted and Akefia made a run for it. "OVER THERE!" shit we were spotted. Me and Akefia ran and ran as fast as we could but the horses were faster. one of witch had the pharaoh on. "bring them to the throne room" The king commanded and two guards grabbed us and put us on the back of his horse.the throne room was mainly gold, two thrones sit at the front on a slightly higher floor with four shallow steps leading to the higher floor. the guards forced us to kneel in front of the pharaoh. The king stood from his throne and walked towards us. "tell me your names"
"Akefia"
"and you?" The king looked to m and I looked him in the eye.
"none of you're god damn business" I spat, immediately two guards pointed their spears at me but I stayed calm. "your king asked your name"
"I am aware of that, but I choose not to take orders." I said calmly and turned my attention back to the pharaoh who slapped me, but I didn't care, I refuse to take orders from anyone. " I ask you again, your name?" again I didn't answer "very well" he turned to Akefia "you may go free but you are banished from my kingdom, am I clear?"
"yes my king" Akefia said and was then escorted out the palace.
"as for you" the pharaoh turned back to me then the guard "bring me a lead" The guard bowed and then went out the room and appeared again a few minuets later with a black collar and lead and passed it to the pharaoh. "put this on" he lead out the lead and collar but I slapped it out his hand which earned me another slap from the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh growled and picked it back up he then bent down to my level and forced it on me and attached the lead. "You are my slave" he began "you will do as told or earn punishment, you will not speak out of turn, do you understand? " he asked with a smirk and I scowled and stayed quiet. "Do you understand? " he asked again with more force and a tug on the lead. I growled and nodded.
"Was that so hard? " he said teasingly "now, what, is your name? " I gritted my teeth "Heba, Heba Muto" I spat in response and the Pharaoh stood with a nod and another smirk "Heba" he said almost as if he was tasting my name on his tongue "stand" he commanded and yanked on the lead forcing me to my feet.
