Chapter 2

*Adams POV*

Plastic burrtios? What the hell is that? I would rather have pizza over that. But i'm sure the food can't be that bad...

I lied. Its freaking disgusting. Damn Kat was right about the food. Now I am going to starve the rest of the day. What am I going to do for 30 minutes? I just looked around the whole room. Studying everyone's faces. At least there is no clicks or whatever the hell its called. Where people who like the same things and hangs out together. My old school was like that. I used to hang out with the nerds. I only had 3 friends back in Florida. I have no friends here. Maybe Kat is my friend? I don't know. We only talked 2 times. She is something different and I want to know more about her.

*End of the Day*

My mom had picked me up after school. I have not seen Kat the rest of the day. I hope she is alright. My mom asked how my day was. I told her it was good but not anything about Kat. My mom hates girls like Kat. Oh I forgot to metion that we live in an actual house. It was a normal 2 story house. When I got home I went up to my room. I just fell on my bed face first. I was just thinking about life right now. Thought about my dad. We were very close. I remember this one time when I was 13, we were at Game Stop looking for a game and this girl from my old school came in. She was crazy about me and I tried to hide from her and then dad noticed. She asked him if he seen me and he said no and made her leave. He always had my back for everything. I missed him so much. A tear rolled down my cheek and I decided to take a walk. I fixed my hair and cleaned my glasses.

"Mom i'm going for a walk."

"Okay. Please be safe sweetheart."

"I will."

I walked for about 10 minutes and then I ened up near the subway. Wow 2 feet can take you a long way. Then saw a girl coming out of one of the stores and was putting something in her jacket. Her clothes remind me of Kat. She had a black sweater and- wait. The purple hair I should have known. She looked kind of sneaky though. She turned around and saw me. She quickly turned around and ran away. She can run fast. I was confused on why she looked scared so I decided to run after her. She ran into an alley and turned right. I made the same turn and I lost her. Dang. I wonder what she was doing. I tried to make my way out of the alley but then I heard glass breaking and voices.

???- Hey girl. What's a pretty little girl like yourself doing out her huh?

???- Get the hell away from me.

KAT! Omg she is in trouble. I don't know what to do. Do I fight the guy? Do I call 911? I peeked around the corner and saw an older guy had Kat pinned against the wall. She was trying to push him away. This made my blood boil. Then my body had a mind of its own. I ran over to them and grabbed a beer bottle and then BAM! Hit him right in the head and he was knocked out. I have no I idea what the hell just happened.

"Thanks Adam."

She then walked away really fast. I don't know why but it bothered me.

"Hey where are you going?"

"Um to my apartement."

Duh. Where else would she go? Stupid Adam.

"So that's it? I just possibly saved you from rape and I get is a thanks?"

"Pretty much."

"And why did you run away when you saw me huh?"

"What are you a cop? Thanks for saving me. See you around."

God Damnit. I made her mad. I started walking behind her. I kept calling her name while following her.

"I'm not going to give up until you respond. Hey why are you going into this buliding?"

This buliding is really huge and the lobby looks really nice.

"I live here Adam"

"You?"

"Yeah. It's surprising I know. I get it all the time."

She turned around and waited for the elevator. Then I looked at the guy behind the desk.

"Um excuse me, but do you live here?"

"No. I was just-"

"No. If you don't live here I suggest you left before I call security."

"Actually Paul he is with me."

I jumped when I heard Kats voice. I didn't know she was behind me. She grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the elevator.

"Your parents must seriously be rich. I heard the apartments here are like 5,000$ for rent."

"Its only 3,000."

The doors opened and I followed Kat to her apartment. I was looking around the hall like a kid at a candy store. That's when I got yanked into the room. That kinda hurt.

"Well thanks Kat for hurting my arm."

"Well you didn't hear me when I called your name. Anyways make your self at home. Its not much. This is what my parents gave me."

Wait what. Gave?

"You live here by your self?????"

"Yeah..."

"Your not the legal age. That against the law your still a minor."

"And I care because?"

"Why would your parents give you this apartement? Where are they anyway?"

"I don't know and don't care."

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. It was my mom calling.

"Hi mom."

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!? IT IS 9:36!"

I yanked my phone away from my ear. My mom is very loud...

"Tell her your sleeping over at a friends house and take it off of speaker." Kat whispered in my ear.

"Okay and its not on speaker." I whispered back.

"Mom i'm just at a friends house. I'll be back in the moring. Bye."

I rolled my eyes and put my phone back in my pocket. Then Kay started laughing for some unknown reason...

"What's so funny?"

"My mom used to answer the phone like that. She hated me when I came home late."

"Yeah, moms will be moms."

"At least you have someone who cares about you."

"What do you mean?"
