"Amanda you better pick up!" Anthony said, grabbing my phone.

I sat there in silence not moving, while Anthony answers the call.

"Yo what's going on?" Chance said waking up, as he walks over to our bed.

I can hear the lady on the phone asking for my name, "Hi is this Amanda Stevens?"

"No, but this is a family friend, Anthony Trujillo."

"Well.. I'm going to let you know that she-"

"She what??" Anthony said, looking all worried as tears begin to stream down my face.

"She was recently rushed to the hospital"

"Wait what time is it?" Anthony asks Chance.

"4 exact" Chance said, trying to calm me down.

"Okay we'll be there in a few." He said, as he ends the phone call.

"Okay babe, can you do this?" He asked me, pulling me into a hug as he rubs my back.

"Yes. Let's go." I said, getting up from the bed.

We ran down the stairs quietly but yet quickly. Anthony hopped into the driver seat, me in the passenger seat and  Chance in the back seat.

I texted my parents telling them that nana was rushed to the hospital. And surprisingly they responded quickly.

My mom called me instantly.

Mom
"Honey are you okay?? I got a call too."

Me
"Hey mom, yes we're on our way."

Mom
"Honey you're fine. I just booked a ticket. I should be there by morning. I love you, stay strong for your nana."

Me
"Yes mom."

Mom
"Don't forget to tell her I love her."

She sounded torn. She was broken.

Me
"Will do."

By the time I hung up the phone, we were already pulling up to the hospital. Anthony parked the car, and we quickly ran into the hospital.

"Hi.. um.. Susan Bryant."

"I'm sorry, you can't go to the room right now." The nurse said

"What do you mean!?" I asked, raising my voice. At this point everyone was staring.

I tried running to find her room, but the nurses, Anthony and Chance were pulling me back.

After all the pushing and tugging, I made it through. Tears started to flood my eyes again, as I ran to look for her room.

Bingo. I found it. I can already see many wires connected to her body. She looked so weak.

"Amanda wait!" Anthony yelled, as he finally catches up to me.

"No!" I cried, falling into Anthony's arms.
