Dean Winchester's old roommate at the Academy was thrown out, so he's switching rooms. When he meets his new roommate, all he sees at first is a nerdy little kid.
Castiel becomes a lot more to him than that
I know Charlie is still about the same age as Charlie in the show but it was the best picture of Felicia that didnt look like she was modeling.
LOOK AT MARK SHEPPARD OMG
Chapter six- what?

Two more days. If it didn't seem weird, Castiel would be checking off the days on his calendar. Forty eight more hours until Dean got back.
It was Thursday morning, and Cas was sitting in another boring class. He already knew what the day's schedule held for him- after this he had math, lunch and break, appointment with Naomi, and then sicnece and world language.
Thursdays and Mondays were the worst because of the math teacher. She'd started taking him out of the office on occasions, taking him around campus. The funniest part about this whole thing was that his family knew and was fine about it. Not about Naomi, obviously, but about his sexuality. His dad was surprisingly accepting for being a pastor, but it probably had something to do with the fact that Jimmy's brother was Bi. His sisters didn't care, but they also never really payed much attention to him. Maybe that "Twin Thing" didn't work with triplets, or maybe its only if you're identical, but he never had a connection with them. They didn't care about him all that much past the boundaries of family, and probably wouldn't give two shits if they saw him getting beaten up. Still, the threats Naomi put on them...
Dispite being the youngest by almost twenty seconds, he was still the middle child. In the 'middle child syndrome' since of the phrase. Dean was really the only person, excuse the sappieness, who actually made Cas feel like he was important. Before he had met Dean, he was sort of a shadow on the wall type of guy. Everyone else still saw him like that, but not Dean. Never Dean.
Cas could feel himself slipping, and he didn't really want to hold on. It was time to fall.

Dean was ready to go back to school. Maybe not the actual school part of school, but he wanted to see Benny and Charlie and Sam and Cas.
Empahsis on the Cas.
Dean sighed and put his head down on the desk. He could get so much more work done if Cas was just in the room. He looked at his phone. He had not good reason to call his friend, just wanting to hear his voice is even a little past Dean's gay, but he wanted to call Cas.
Cas was probably in class anyway. Yeah, he had math right now. With Naomi.
Dean sat up on his bed. He had completely forgotten that Cas had an appointment with Naomi at one thirty. The two meetings last week, and the one at the beginning of this week, had been canceled because the teacher got violently sick. Dean had been there to comfort Cas after these, but today he wouldn't be. Cas got back from lunch at one. Dean would call him around one ten to check in.
It wasn't even twelve yet. Dean wanted to scream and break something. Instead, he went to work on cars.
An hour and a half later, Dean's alarm went off. He slid out from under the Oldsmobile 442 a guy had dropped off and picked up his phone to call Cas.
"Hey Cas. How you doin'?"
"I'm fine. What are you doing? You sound like you're panting."
"I'm working on this gorgeous car at Bobby's auto shop. Repair, wash, vacuum, and patch up the leather. I get like seventy bucks out of it too, so that'll be nice."
"You only get seventy dollars to do all that?"
"I'm fixing her and washing her. Bobby's getting a little to old to be under the hood, so he works on the insides. Plus, just looking at this beautiful girl for a few hours in enough for me. God, Cas. Oldie 442."
"I have no idea what you mean by that."
"Not just any- 1971! It makes my day when people drop off the old muscle cars. The guy was less than thrilled to see a higschooler working on his car, but we got to talking about schematics and types of cars and he ended up trusting me. Boy am I glad. She's so sleek. Just a beautiful car. So tempting to take her for a test drive. You should see her, Cas. Fuck- I mean- wow..."
"Is this what I sound like when I talk about bees?"
"I don't know. Maybe. You get hyperexcited though."
"You just get enthralled. I- I have an appointment with Naomi today."
"I know. How're you doing?"
"I already had a panic attack.."
"Cas, I told you to call me when that happens!"
"I know! I know. I'm fine though. It was just sort of a spell a few minutes ago."
Dean could tell his friend was lying, but he pushed it away.
"Still."
"Dean, you don't have to worry about me."
Yes I do.
"I know. Just be careful. You haven't been going to any parties, right?"
"No, actually! I've barely gone off campus." Cas sounded so proud of himself that Dean couldn't tell he was lying again.
"That's good. Call me afterward, okay?"
"As soon as I'm back in the room. Got it."
"Bye."
"Bye."

Dean wasn't done with the car until three o'clock, and Cas hadn't called. The song "Mr. Roboto" finished, dean finished drying the car. His AC/DC shirt was sticky with buckets of sweat. He'd gone through his favorite Stxy album, both sides of Pink Floyd's The Wall, and almost all the Aerosmith on his phone. Roboto was a great song to end on. He used Bobby's work phone to call the guy, who said he's be there in about an hour.
By the time the costumer arrived, Dean was in his Styx shirt and fresh jeans. Cas still hadn't called. Him and the guy had gotten into talking about classic rock. They were talking about how Deyoung was definitely the best lead in Styx when his phone finally rang.
"Sorry. This is probably my friend."
"Teen angst?"
"Teen angst is a pejorative phrase."
The guy laughed. Dean answered his phone, but it wasn't Cas.
"Bobby?"
"Dean, its your dad."
"What about him." Dean asked flatly.
"He's gotten in a car accident."
Despite everything, his stomach still dropped.
"What?" Dean's throat had gone dry.
"He's- John's dead."
