Glitch (Prinxiety)

Chapter 14

   "We're watching The Lion King!" Missy declared.
    "Cool, I got popcorn." Patton handed a bucket out to each of them.
   Then they got the movie going. Prince and Anx were sitting next to eachother, as were Logan and Patton.  The kids were in the floor in front of them in a small fort.
    About halfway through the movie Logan pulled Anx into the kitchen.
    "We still have yet to deal with Corey. Is there anything about him we need to know." Logic said as he summoned a notebook.
    "He's very persuasive and manipulative, but other than that, i-I don't know." Anxiety said nervously.
    "Okay, thanks, we can get back to the movie now." So they walked into the commons and sat back down.
     In another part of the mind, Corey was pacing. He knew that Princey had taken Anx to see the others. He also knew that the others had convinced him that he was worth something.
     They were going to come for him. He didn't know how, and he didn't know when but they wouldn't let him stay. He had to prepare.

    The kids were asleep in their room and the traits had just finished cleaning up the fort and any spilled popcorn. They were sitting in a some what comfortable silence that needed to be broken.
    "We need to finish him off." Prince said, grabbing Anx's hand.
    "Yes, but, say we do manage to take him down. What will we do then?" Anxiety asked.
     "We could put him in the imagination?" Patton suggested.
     "No, he could break out and wreak havoc again. There is one thing though, the Forgotten Pit. Anything that goes in dies essntially." Logic said.
      "But how do we get him in?" Roman wondered.
      "I-I, I could be b-b-bait." Anxiety said softly.
      "No!" Patton and Roman both shouted.
      "It makes sense. Corey would pounce if you were alone. Especially near the Pit."
      "How can you side with him on this?" Roman said in disbelief.
      "It's the most logical option. If Anxiety is alone it will be easier for Corey to manipulate him. So of course he could be bait."
      "But, what if, what if-" Patton stuttered.
      "Patton, it'll be fine. We will be there to push Corey into the Pit." Logic explained.
      "Are you sure nothing will go wrong?" Roman was unsure.
      "Yes, Anx will wait for Corey to appear by the Pit and when he does, we strike. We grab him and throw him into the pit." Logan said.
       "Okay, when do we start?" Anxiety asked.
       "In the morning, after breakfast. Don't tell the kids."
       "I agree. I want them safe." Patton said.
        The other two nodded and they headed to bed. When Prince was at his door he stopped.
       "Hey Anx?" He called.
       "Yeah?" Anxiety answered.
       "Would you mind if, if I slept with you tonight?" He asked.
        "No, not at all. I think your bed is bigger though." He walked back to where Prince was by his door.
       "Yeah." Was his reply.
       They walked in and layed down. Anx was curled into Princey's chest. He chuckled.
      'I could stay here forever' he thought to himself as he kissed the top of Anx's head.

    In the morning they all got up and made breakfast. Pancakes of course.
    "Hey Anx? Can you teach us how to build a fort?" Missy asked.
     "Not today bud, I've got to help with a video." Anxiety lied through his teeth.
      "Okay" he and pranks walked back to their room.
      "Let's get this thing over with." He turned to Logic. "Where is it."
       "Follow me." Logan turned and opened a door none of them had noticed before.
        Inside the door they couldn't see much. It was really dark. They could just make out the edge of a pit about twenty or so  feet out.
       "I guess this is where I go." Anx said.
       "We'll be waiting by the door. I expect he will teleport to you." Logic said and closed the door.
        "Okay. " Anxiety gave a nervous smile as the door shut. He turned around and faced the pit.

     Corey was sat at the laptop on his desk. 'Surely he's alone by now' he thought and scanned the mind. Anxiety was alone and by the Forgotten Pit. Even better. He teleported as quick as he could.
     "Hello, so nice to see you again glitch." He smirked.
      "Hello Corey. Would you like to have a civil conversation? Or would you prefer to just tell me how inferior I am." He asked feigning innocence.
       "I would prefer the latter." Corey matched his polite snark.
       "Well I would not. I know what you will say and believe me, there are times when I think it's true. But let's focus on you. Where do you come from?" Anxiety kept up the innocent act.
       "The pits of hell." Corey growled, before lunging for Anx.
        "I strongly doubt that." He said after doging the attack. "You can't come from nowhere."
        "Says who?" Corey said getting off the ground.
        "Says logic, and the sound of music. Great musical by the way. You should really watch it sometime." Anx stalled.
        "What do I care about a stupid musical?" Corey said finally managing to tackle Anx.
        "How dare you! The Sound of Music is art at its finest! And that is my boyfriend!" Roman said barging in and grabbing his shoulders.
       "It is a very interesting musical, seeing as it is based off of real events." Logan walked in adjusting his glasses before kicking Corey over and off of Anx.
      "And the kids are just too cute!" Patton walked in and helped Anxiety up.
      "So, as you can see, we are in agreement, and have defeatedyou, if you couldn't tell." Anxiety said as Roman and Logic lifted him by his arms.
       "Any last words?" Roman asked.
        "Sorry?" Corey asked looking up at Anxiety.
        "Too late bud." He said softly.
         They threw him over the edge. He faded into the darkness. Corey was gone.
         "Too late." He whipered.
         "C'mon let's go." Roman said grabbing his shoulder.
         "Yeah." He nodded and walked out with the others. "Guys wait. All this working together and defeating Corey has made me..." He sighed. "Want to tell you my name."
     "What is it?" Patton asked gently.
     "Virgil, but you guys can call me Virge." He looked at the ground.
      "I love it." Prince said intertwining their hands.
      "Really?" Anx couldn't believe it.
      "Yes, it is a good name for you." Logic smiled.
       "Thanks." He smiled sheepishly.
        "Let's go tell the kids!" Mo' grabbed his hand and ran out of the kitchen.
        "You guys coming or what?" Virge called over his shoulder.
        Logan and Roman chuckled a little and followed at a slower pace.
Corruption was gone.

    Yup. I can't believe this is almost over. I think it'll just be an epilogue though. I still can't believe it. Tune in next time for one more part! Please don't forget to vote and comment any thoughts! See you next chapter!
