(L x orphan!oc) Not Exactly a Normal Teen

"Grace what do you think?" Said the Raven haired detective sitting next to me.

"I think it's obvious we're looking at a copy cat," I responded.

"Why would you think that?~"

"Well it's obvious from what this Kira was saying, it's nothing like the real Kira at all," I said, "I'm assuming your know why."

"Yes, I came up with the same theory," he said pressing his thumb to his lower lip.

"So what do we do?" Chief Yagami said.

"I'm going to test light with this video," L replied eating some of the cake in front of him.

After that point I zoned out. By this point I knew what L would be planning and didn't really need to listen.

It was now 3 am and the rest of the task force had gone home. Although most nights they would stay all night, tonight Ryuzaki insisted that they go home and rest. I never did as I didn't have a home to go to and there was no point in going back if I didn't have a family to be with, and I wasn't actually going to sleep. I was currently sitting on the computer going through files while Ryuzaki was doing god knows what. I'm not gonna lie the odd man has become a father figure to me in a way. Maybe it's because we're basically always together now, but when I'm around him I feel like I'm in that happy family I've always wanted. Especially since he's the one looking after me while I was here.

"Hey Grace you can take a break if you'd like, you've been at it for awhile and I don't want to over work you." I heard L say.

I looked over at him and responded,"No it's fine I'm not sure what I would do if I took a break," and turned back to my computer. As I turned back though I started to feel dizzy and nauseous, and soon enough I was sweating, I felt my heart beat fast, and my breath quicken. 'Oh no not now!'

"H-hey Ry-Ryuzaki I'm g-gonna go to the b-bathroom," I said quickly before rushing to the restroom shutting and locking the door.

I rushed to the sink pressing my hands to the marble counter top, breathing heavily. 'Deep breathes Grace, deep breaths.'

After about 20 minutes of feeling like I was about to die I, had finally calmed down. I walked out and sat back down at the computer I was at before.

"Are you ok?" L said calmly.

"Yeah why?" I replied.

"You were very tense when going to the restroom and you were in there for awhile," he said.

"Don't worry I'm fine," I said with a fake smile.

"The next time you have a panic attack I want you to tell me, it's not healthy to deal with panic attacks alone," he said,"If we're with the rest of the task force and you don't want them to know make a gesture to me and we'll deal with it."

My face was over come with shock. He's the worlds greatest detective of course he knew that was a panic attack, I wouldn't be surprised if Matsuda had suspicions. The most shocking part was he wanted to help and I actually was ok with it.

"Ok Ryuzaki I promise," I smiled and got back to work.

"Wanna go to the park tomorrow?"

"Obviously.~"
