His name Yashiro (社) means 'shrine'. His surname Isana (伊佐那, Isana) is composed of three kanji, i (伊, that one), sa (佐, assistant, help) and na (那, what?).
His real name Adolf comes from the Germanic name Adalwolf, which meant "noble wolf" from the Germanic elements adal "noble" and wulf', indicating both his nobility and loneliness. Weissmann ironically enough translates to "man of white".
