•Mikki's POV•

"No! The cheese goes INSIDE the pasta!" I half yell at Keaton as I hold my stomach from laughing so hard.

"Wait what? I thought the sauce went inside." He said furrowing his brow. He's so cute when he's confused!

"Baby, look." I say grabbing the boll of mushy cheese and begin to perfectly fill one of the large raviolis. "There! See? Not so hard!" I smile. He looks up at me blankly.

"I give up." He throws his hands in the air. "I rather just kiss you." he says standing up and wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Keaton! Stop!" I say laughing and pushing his face away. "We need to get dinner in the oven before my mom gets home!" Keaton looks at me with big eyes and sticks out his bottom lip. "Keaton, stop! You shall not guilt me!" He continues, making his eyes even bigger. "Keaton!" I screech. Finally I lean down and kiss him. He picks me up and sets me on the counter. I tangle my fingers through his dirty blond hair. Eventually we pull apart, out of breath. We just stay there, foreheads pressed together.

*splat*

I slap some red tomato sauce onto his face, ruining the perfect moment.

"MIKKI!" He yells trying to wipe his face off. I fall of the counter and onto the floor laughing. "Mikki, I'm gonna..."

"Gonna what?" He gets cut off.

Dad?

I quickly stand up.

"Hey, daddy!" I thought you weren't getting home 'till later." I say as I start to fill another ravioli with cheese.

I see Keaton wiping the last bit of sauce of his face with a napkin before approaching my dad.

"Hello, Sir." He says sticking his hand out. My dad looks him up and down.

Dad! Shake his hand!

He slowly raises his hand to meet with Keaton's.

"Seven months, is it?" He questions.

"Yes, Sir. Eight on Wednesday." Keaton shines his beautiful smile. My dad just keeps his eyes fixed on him. He finally turns his gaze to me.

"Hello, sweetheart." He smiles before wrapping me in a bear hug.

"Daddy..I..can't...breath!" I manage to say through the bone crushing hug. He quickly releases me.

"Oh, sorry sorry. I've just missed you that's all. I've missed a lot that's happens here. I hope no one you've let into your life will hurt you." He eyes Keaton.

Ugh. I've forgotten how protective dads can be in the last 4 years.

"Well, I'm going to go freshen up an get ready for dinner." He announces before pounding up the stairs. Keaton slowly walks towards me and whispers,

"I don't think your daddy likes me very much." He chuckles.

"Don't worry, he'll come around." I say reassuringly. "Because once you get to know someone like you, it's impossible not to like them."
