"C'mon, Y/n. You have to come," Dinah begged me as she laid on my lap.
"Dinah, if I go then I'll probably get wasted and I really don't want to have a hangover tomorrow," I told the girl, who was really trying to get me to go to some party with her.
"Come onnnnn. Mani with be there," she tried, making me laugh.
"Now I really don't want to go. I'll probably say something stupid," I said, making the girl roll her eyes.
"Y/n, you're coming," she told me, walking to my closet and picking out an outfit.
"Put this on and I'll be back to in a bit. We're leaving in like thirty minutes," she said before leaving the room.
I got up with a sigh and started to change into the outfit. I really didn't want to go, but I also didn't want to know what Dinah would do if I didn't listen.
"Oh, good. You're dressed," Dinah said when she walked in a little while later.
"You're lucky I didn't have plans already," I said, rolling my eyes and following Dinah out the door.
"No, you're lucky that I invited you to come," she sassed, as we got in the car and she started driving to wherever the party was.
"You're dumb," I told her, making her giggle. "Where is this party anyways?"
"Jauregui is throwing it," Dinah answered as she took a left turn.
"Lauren Jauregui? That hot senior with the green eyes?" I asked.
"Yea, apparently her parents are out of town," Dinah told me.
"This shit better not be lame," I sighed out.
"It won't be. Jauregui's parties as always legendary, and I heard someone say she invited a lot of people from Northside. So it's gonna be a big party."
I nodded my head at her before she pulled into an unfamiliar driveway.
I could already hear the music before we even got out the car, and it already looked like a huge party from how many cars were outside.
"C'mon," Dinah said with a smirk as we walked into the house.
"Dinah! You made it," I heard someone yell as an arm was slung over the Polynesian's shoulders.
"Wouldn't miss it, Jauregui."
"And you brought a tag along. Nice seeing you, Y/n," Lauren told me with a smirk.
"He needs to loosen up," Dinah told her.
I immediately shook my head, but it was too late. Lauren was dragging me to the kitchen and pouring two tequila shots.
She handed me one and grabbed two slices of lime. I expected her to hand me one, but she took the shot and used one herself before motioning for me to take my shot.
Lauren put the lime between her teeth and I shook my head with a small laugh before taking the shot.
She pulled me close and kissed me briefly, transferring the slice of lime to my mouth before pulling away.
I heard a lot of cheers behind us as she winked at me and I threw the lime away.
"That's just a start, Y/ln. See you later," she told me before walking away.
"Wow, that was something to watch," I heard a voice say behind me.
I turned quickly to find Normani, who had a fake smile on her lips.
"Yea, uhh- she said I needed to loosen up so she like... did that," I stuttered out.
"I see," Normani told me as she turned to walk away.
"Wait! Normani," I called, catching up to her as she walked out of the house.
"What? I really need to get home. My mom just texted and-"
"Bullshit," I cut her off. "Listen, I didn't really want to come to this anyways. Let's go eat at like iHop or something."
Normani rolled her eyes and turned to get in her car. I watched as she started it and rolled the window down.
"Get in."
I quickly got into the passenger seat before she took off. I sent a quick message to Dinah, letting her know where I was.
The ride to iHop was awkward and silent, neither of us saying a word as we parked and were seated at a table.
"Mani," I mumbled as she looked at the menu.
"Mani?" I tried again. No response.
"Normani," I said, pulling the menu out of her hands.
"What, Y/n? Im trying to read."
"I'm sorry," I told her.
"For what? You have nothing to apologize for," she said.
"That's not true and you know it," I told her as I leaned in closer. "We both know there's something going on here and we're just gonna keep hurting each other if we don't figure it out. So-"
I was cut off when Normani leaned over the table and put her lips on mine. I kissed back before she pulled away and sat back in her seat.
"I- uhhh... what was that?"
"That's me saying I like you and I would appreciate it if you didn't kiss other girls," Normani told me.
"Deal," I said quickly, making her laugh.
"So, can I like buy you some pancakes and you be my girlfriend orrrr?"
"You're such a dork," Normani laughed as she took her menu back and leaned in to peck my lips again.
"Yes, you can by me pancakes you I'll be your girlfriend."
