~Cameron's POV~

I suddenly jolted up and quickly looked around, only to realize I was completely alone in the store. I slowly got to my feet making sure I didn't move to fast for fearing I would fall over and hurt myself.  I quickly grabbed my stuff and ran outside. When I got outside I frantically searched for any signs of what direction they went in, but I couldn't find anything. It was like they had vanished into thin air. Out of frustration and fear I began yelling and throwing things, trying to understand that Cassidy was taken by a group of thugs and I didn't do anything to stop it. This was all my fault.

I finally noticed that it was close to sundown, so I ran to the back of the gas station only to find my truck in ruins. The tires had been slashed, the windows were busted, and all of the gas had been drained from the tank. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with no way of getting home.

With the sun setting quickly in the distance I started grabbing everything from the truck that could be useful to me. While digging around in the car I noticed a piece of paper taped to the steering wheel.  "Someone has to pay. You know where to find us." That's all the note said. I didn't really know what they meant by it but I'm assuming Caitlin will know. Then it hit me, I still have to find a way home and tell Chase and Caitlin what had happened. What am I going to tell them!? How am I going to look Caitlin in the eyes and tell her that her best friend was taken and that I have no idea where she is!? So many things started racing through my mind.

I was trying to come up with a rational explanation of what had happened, but was ripped from my thoughts when I heard something moving around by the dumpsters. By now the sun had already set and it was completely dark. Whatever was moving around sounded big and since I didn't have a flashlight I couldn't see shit. I grabbed the gun from my bag, got out of the truck, and slowly made my way over to the noise. As I made my way over to the dumpsters the sound got louder and louder. When I was passing one of the garage doors I accidentally trip on of the motion light and was showered in a blinding light. Soon my eye became adjusted to the eye light and I then realized that the sound had moved from behind the dumpsters and was making its way toward me.

Out of fear of the unknown I began shooting blindly into the dark hoping and pray whatever I was shooting at wasn't alive. I soon ran out of bullets and started running back to the truck. As I was running I could hear the sound of uneven footsteps behind me. When I reached the tuck I quickly grabbed the rest of my stuff and ran as fast as I could to the front of the store. Once I got to the front of the store I ran inside and began throwing whatever I could grab and put it in front of the doors to keep whatever was chasing me out. Whatever was outside was throwing itself up against the doors repeatedly and making all of these horrible noises. After about 2 hours of fighting, whatever was outside finally lost interest and moved on to something else.

~Time Skip~

I've been walking for what seems like days but in reality it's only been a few hours. After the sun rose I packed up all my stuff and left. I probably should have stayed at wait for someone to come looking for me but who knows how long that would take.

~Chase's POV~

Where are they? The gas stations only half a day's drive from here, they should be back by now! I quickly got out of bed and walked down the hallway to Caitlin's room and banged on the door. After a couple of minutes Caitlin finally opened the door. "What do you want?" Caitlin asked me while rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Cassidy and Cameron didn't come home last night." Caitlin's face slowly began to fall. "What do you mean they didn't come home?", she started to raise her voice, "Its only half a day's drive!!"

Caitlin started pacing around the room breathing heavily. "This is why I should have gone and not Cameron." Caitlin said while looking up at me. "Something always happens when he goes along!!" By now Caitlin began to get hysterical. To be honest it was strange to see her like this. She was always 'the man with the plan' well in her case woman. But she never really showed emotion, sure she did in the past but never like this. "Caitlin it's going to be okay", I said while walking towards her, "we'll find them."
