You know the feeling when it's a good day and you cannot go out?
When you take comfort in the rain but can't see nor hear it?
When you need help but cannot scream nor shout?
When there's your favorite food served fresh yet you can't eat?
When you received a gift you cannot open
When you listen to a music that is muted
When there's no sun in the sky
And there's no moon in the night.
Because it's only half the feeling of saying farewell
To turn your back on the things you so love
To pretend you're not unwell
To be trying not to come back
When you feel strange flames burning your insides
Yet you cannot utter a word and instead just watch
When you're holding back the tears though you're dying inside
When you're falling in a deep abyss and no one can catch
When there's shadows in the places you left
And you're being swallowed by the emptiness
When melancholy commits theft
Leaving you nothing but hollow loneliness
