Every Word is a Drop of Tear

A patter of rain knocks on the roof
While moist fills the windows of her room
She was staring at the empty ceiling, knowing it's her goof
To let the sunshine out and to shoo away the moon.

She broke her heart
By trying to break his
Now she says she'd rather destroy herself
Than fall into the pits of love again

But maybe, only maybe
If he begged, she would so stay
If he cried, she wouldn't dare leave
Then maybe they wouldn't share each other's name in shame.

She thinks, at the time she said she'll leave-
If only he got angry it'd be better
Or if he would forget about her, he'd be set free
If he didn't whispered the last "I love
you", then all would be easier

But the joke's on her.
If she wasn't indecisive, there wouldn't be
A pang in her heart and loneliness in his,
No shattered pieces and stained cheeks.

Now her shadows remained at the places she left
And she was swallowed by the emptiness
If she only didn't feel bereft
As her shattered heart of stone slept in it's deathbed

But no, none had seen her weep
No one in her face saw the grief of change
Because every word she wrote was a drop of tear
And so the paper is flooded with the tears of her heart caged

She sings, oh she sings
She writes about all the beautiful things.
Of how he is her sun in the morning
And how he lights up the darkest evenings!

Shame on her, shame on her!
She let the best things slip away
Love will die, love would be dead!
Because she will kill it in vain

For she was killed before
So it was her turn, without being shunned
Oh dear love, aren't thou mischievous and forlorn?
Contagiously getting revenge on everyone!
