And another pound lost but still no difference. His stomach was still there bigger than ever, at least that's what Louis thought. In reality his tummy was no longer there, he was practically skin and bones.
His stomach roared loudly as he paced around in his room trying to think of something else other than food. The doorbell rang and Louis quickly ran towards the door. He didn't even look through the peephole he just swung the door open. Before the door was a little girl with a satchel, a cute little hat, and a wagon piled high with boxes of cookies behind her. She was like one of those clichè girl scouts.
"Hey Mr do you want cookies?" She asked sweetly looking at him with a pouty face.
Louis shook his head quickly, "I can't, I can't eat."
"Sure you can, everyone's gotta eat." She said with furrowed eyebrows she couldn't be more than eleven. How did her mother let her go alone? The poor thing could get kidnapped.
"But not me, i'm on a diet." Louis said biting his lip hoping the girl would go away before he bought five boxes and ate them all at once. The girl raised her eyebrow and looked at his body. Louis crossed his arms over his chest in worry she would see his fat and insult him.
"Diet? You look like you weigh less than me." The girl said and then shrugged her shoulders, "Oh well suit yourself." She then walked away, down the sidewalk, the sun shining bright. Thank God, Louis thought to himself. The girl was so wrong he probably weighed three times her weight. As he closed the door his stomach roared again and he suddenly felt very dizzy.
He turned around and walked into the living room and sat on the couch. The room was spinning and he felt like someone was hammering his head. Suddenly his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he passed out.
two hours later
Harry was pulling into the driveway when he first started to get worried. All the lights in the house were off and Louis always waited for Harry to come inside on the porch but Louis was nowhere to be seen. Harry quickly shut off his car and locked it.
Walking to the door was really scary because there can be two outcomes. One, everything's fine or two, everything not fine. When Harry got the door open he said, "Louis, I'm home!" Yet he received no response. "Louis?"
He checked rooms but he still couldn't find Louis. Lastly, he walked into the living room only to see Louis' body on the floor in a very uncomfortable position. It was clear to see that the boy was not just sleeping. Harry ran towards Louis and sat down grabbing the boy and clutching him to his chest. The curly haired boy wasn't one to hold his tears if he needed to cry, he would do just that. "You can't do this to me Louis. You will not die on me."
He sat there tears streaming down his face and Louis pressed against him until he realized he should take Louis to the hospital.
As he rises with Louis in his arms he was so surprised to feel that Louis felt as light as a feather. When did the boy get so thin? Harry jogged, Louis in his arms, to the car where he quickly got in and put Louis' body in his lap, not caring if he got stopped by the police. He pulled out of the driveway and sped to the hospital.
-
He ran in and went to the Emergency part of the hospital because this definitely was an emergency. When nurses saw him with Louis in his arms they grabbed a stretcher and laid Louis onto it. Two nurses wheeled him away and as harry tried to follow he was suddenly stopped.
"Sorry sir you'll have to wait to see him." A male nurse said. Harry nodded and sighed. "The waiting room is just that way." The guy pointed. Harry went to where the guys finger pointed and when he found a seat he sat down and looked around. There were many people in the waiting room. Some happy, maybe they were expecting a baby. Some sad, maybe someone was going through what Harry was going through.
Harry rested his head in his hands but he didn't cry. For he knew tears were useless at the moment. So he waited and he waited and he waited. About an hour went by and finally a good looking doctor came into the room and said aloud, "Anyone here for Louis Tomlinson?" Everyone looked as I sprinted out my seat and ran to her. "I'm assuming you are." She said laughing.
Harry slightly smiled and asked, "Is he okay?"
"He's fine just malnourished. Has he not been eating well?" Harry blinked and thought back to the last time he saw Louis eat, come to think of it it's been a long time.
"I just realized I haven't seen him eat in awhile but maybe he just doesn't eat around me." Harry says.
"Um what's your name again?"
"Harry."
"Harry, maybe he's been starving himself." She suggested and to that Harry shook his head rapidly.
"No, why would he if he was fine b-but then again that would explain why he was so light when I picked him up." She nodded and gave him a look of pity. "Would you like to see him?"
"Yes please." She turned around and started walking Harry following behind. After about two minutes they reached a closed door that the doctor opened.
"I'll give you guys your privacy." She then walked away. Harry completely walked into the room and as soon as he did he began to cry again. Louis laid there tubes and all staring at Harry with a very broken look on his face. You could literally see that Louis had cracked under the pressure of the world.
"Oh baby." Harry said pulling a chair next to Louis' bed and sitting down. He moved Louis' fringe from his eyes and continued to cry. "I'm so sorry I didn't notice."
"Don't blame this on yourself, it was all me. I let my insecurities get to me. Nothing was your fault." Louis said.
"Why didn't you come to me?"
"Because Harry this was for you. I wanted to be skinny for you. Plus I didn't want to involve you in my problems." Louis said.
"You were and are perfect just the way you are. And Louis we're together, that means we trust each other with everything whether they're about problems or not. Do you understand me?"
Louis nodded and said, "Yes."
"I'm going to help you get better but I know that the only way you can truly get better is if you want to get get better. Do you want to get better?"
"Yeah," Louis said, "I want to get better."
Harry nodded and said, "Good." He got off his chair wiped his tears a bit and kissed Louis' cheek. "I love you baby."
"I love you too Haz."
