My baby

Thunder erupts into the dark sky. Rain falls from the sky, a soft pitter patter noise being made on the window. The room is dark due to the power being off since the storm is so strong. The trees move side to side a bit and the wind makes loud whooshing noises.

Louis hides deeper in the blankets. His heart beating rapidly as tears stream down his face one after the other. Harry left to go to the store about two hours ago. He wanted to pick up some flashlights. It hadn't started raining before he left so he thought he could leave Louis alone. He knows about Louis fear.

As another boom is heard from outside Louis lets a sob escape his mouth. "Why do I have to be such a baby?" He thought to himself. He screams a bit when lightning bursts through the sky and lights up the room for a second.

Harry on the other hand was waiting impatiently in the store as the line was super long to the cash register. He grips the two flashlights in his hand tighter as he is pushed in line by someone behind him.

"Listen pal quit pushing this is the fifth time already." Harry says firmly over his shoulder.

"It's not me." The man says giving Harry a death glare.

"Yeah whatever." Harry says coldly. His heart breaks a little at the thought of Louis alone at home at a time like this. "Oh screw this!" Harry exclaims suddenly silencing everyone in the line. He drops the flashlights on the floor and walks straight toward the exit.

Harry quickly walks to his car and hops in turning the car on quickly. He adjusts his mirrors puts on his seat belt and backs out of the parking space he was parked in. Driving away quickly.

Louis at home continues to cry. He grabs the blanket tighter and gets out of the bed. He quickly crawls to the corner of the room. The question of Harry's location passes through his mind several times.

Another sob escapes his lips just as thunder booms from the outside non stop. Louis puts his small hands to his ears whispering to himself "Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop." When lightning strikes he pulls his legs to his chest and wraps his arms around them.

When Harry arrives at the house he notices how all the lights are all off. Shutting off the car he rushes to the door and unlocks it. He closes it quietly and throws the keys on the couch along with his jacket. The sound of sobs fill his ears. With that he runs to his and Louis room taking his shoes off in the process.

When Harry swings the wooden door open Louis lets out a small scream but when he realizes it's just Harry he extends his arms outwards and makes grabby hands.

"H-Harry?" Louis whispers sniffling a bit.  Harry walks towards him and gets on his knees. He puts his arms around Louis pulling the smaller boy closer towards him.

"Sh sh it's okay baby, I'm here." Harry whispers shushing the boy. "Nothing's going to happen." Harry picks Louis up and as he quickly wraps his legs around Harry's waist more thunder and lightning hits the sky.

"Harry I'm scared." Louis mutters holding on to his soul mate for dear life. Harry nods and rubs Louis back softly. When he sits himself down on their bed he begins to rock both of them back and forth.

"It's okay my love." Harry says softly. He lays them down and takes the position as the bigger spoon. As Harry wraps his arms around Louis tightly, Louis continues to cry but then slowly starts to stop until the only thing being heard throughout the room is the rain outside and Louis sniffles.

"Thank you." Louis says snuggling closer to Harry.

"For what?"

"For not leaving me here since I'm a complete baby." Louis replies.

"Hey I would never leave you. I will stay by your side forever ever." Harry says kissing the back of Louis head. "Plus you're my baby so it doesn't matter."
