Thank you for reading! I feel there's going to be one more chapter to this and then I might be doing a little of Shippuden, but that's later. Enjoy!

Chapter Thirteen (still in 3rd POV)

The loud roar sounded throughout the hideout. It shook the walls and tables where Team 7, plus two, was being kept.

In the cells, that was built in the wall, sat Shikamaru, Sasuke, and Sakura. The only girl looked terrified already, but the two boys seemed angry and somewhat bored.

Everyone looked around, suddenly very aware of their surroundings more so. Taylor shook and continued to quiver, that wasn’t Kara. That couldn’t have been Kara!

Orochimaru smirked to himself as he glanced up at the ceiling. “Oh, it’s finally happened,” he shifted his eyes to look at Taylor. “You hold a special place in my dear Kara’s heart; she’ll unwind when she sees you get hurt. And that’s the final step in unleashing the beast.”

Taylor blinked up at him, wide eyes widening even more as her curiosity took over. Beast? What’s he going on about? She continued to think until what he said actually registered in her brain, her head shot up to look directly at him.

“W-wait! You’re going to hurt me to get to her?” her bottom lip quivered. Orochimaru nodded and turned to the project behind him, he gripped something and turned it several times before stopping and clicking a button. “What’s that?!”

He turned to face her again, his evil grin spread across his face. “You know, you were such a joy to take over, Taylor. You were so easily persuadable; you’d do anything I tell you to do without hesitation. Then Kara got a hold of you,” he gritted his teeth, but he smirked afterward. “That’s why I like her so much, she can get anyone to do anything, too. She’s just like me.”

“No . . .” Taylor muttered, shaking her head. “She’ll never be like you! She’s the best person I know and will ever know! She’s the best friend I’ll ever get to have! So, kill me! I’ll be happy knowing I met a great person like her!”

Orochimaru clapped slowly, but he continued to grin and a pale blue and green light flickered behind him. “It’s almost time . . . .”

Kakashi gasped from the ceiling vents, behind him sat Sukania and Riku, both animals angrily swishing their tails. They had leaped away when the man attacked Kara, opting to go along with the secret plan she had told them in her mind. The plan was to follow Kakashi and stop Orochimaru, no matter what.

Kakashi clenched his fist, he had to find Kara, but he had to save his other students too. Kara held an important beast inside her, she brought him aside before this mission commenced and told him about the beast. She was just like Naruto.

Sukania nudged his side and purred against him, her gesture of telling him to calm down, she could feel his nervousness. Riku tilted his head slightly as Orochimaru stepped aside from the device behind him and continued to press buttons in order for it to work.

Kara was still kneeling on the ground with her limbs bound behind her.

After the roar she calmed down and listened to the television, what Taylor had said meant so much to her. It brought tears to her eyes, finally realizing what kind of situation she had put her friends into. Taylor was going to get hurt, or worse, killed. No, she wouldn’t let that happen. And she didn’t know where her other teammates were, if they were even alive!
