CHAPTER 20

“The reason I came here, is because I need to tell you something…” whispers Peter turning his head facing me.

I could feel his warm soft breath warming up cheeks and his body heat on me.

“Yes?” I say whispering into his ear

Peter turns are shuffles his body more closer to me and puts his arm around my hips.

“It’s that i- i…..um…I, okay, okay. It’s...that.... I-I cant. I just...” He says struggling to find his words

“You cant what?” I ask as I hold his face closer to mine

“I just wish I could just… tell you, I know someday you need to know, I just cant put it into words.” He says holding my cold hands.

“Just say it Peter, please.” I say gripping his hand tighter

Peter breaths out slowly and nods 

“I like you, I love you Gwen. “ Peter says brushing his soft lips against mine. “I-I just…it hurts Gwen. I love you so much it hurts; I wake up every morning eager to see your face at school. I would look forward to every science class because I know…I know you will be there. I know you have feelings for me, i know you feel the same…we could…be together.” He says looking into my eyes, he brings my hand to his lips and kisses them.

I just look at him, I cant find any words to say. No guy that I’ve liked has ever told me they liked me back. Peter squeezes my hand.

“Peter….” I say as I take a deep breath in, I fight my tears back. I feel so happy and loved; I close my eyes and let his hearty warmth take over my body.

“I-I don’t know what to say Peter…You are the first guy I love, being with you is all I ask for.” I say softly, I feel tears rolling down my cheeks.

Peter wiped them away from me and hugs me tightly, so tight I could feel his heart beat. 

We lay on the bed holding hands for a few minutes, until Peter decides to leave. We both get up from my bed, Peter lifts the window up while I stand behind him. He turns around.

“Good night Gwen.” He says cupping his hands around my cheeks

He brings my face towards his; I look into his soft dark eyes. He plunges his lips into mine and gently kisses mine, gradually moving into a deeper kiss. I hug him tightly; I never want him to go. I want this moment to later forever and ever.

We finish kissing, Peter cuddles me and kisses me on the neck.

“I love you.” he says whispering into my ear

“I love you too.” I reply quietly

Peter gently lets go of me and climbs out of my window onto my balcony, he looks back one more time and slightly smiles; he then jumps off the balcony.
