The ride home was pretty boring. I can't get my mind off Cade. Of course not in a love kind of way I could never do that to Luke. All that Luke has done is support me. I couldn't betray him like that, I'd never forgive myself. But there's just something about cade. He looks effortlessly cool but I've seen his nervous side as well. Anyway... he'll probably never contact me; he is really busy with his job of course.

I get home to find Luke working hard on his laptop.

"Whatcha working on?" I asked

"A new website to promotes New York books, I asked Steph and she said it was fine." He replied focused on the screen

"Who's Steph? And what's New York books?" I was slightly confused.

"My new job and boss, I sent you a text remember?" he still wasn't looking up to meet my eyes.

"Oh... are you hungry, I could make dinner for us?"

"It's fine. I'm not hungry."

He picked up his laptop and walked off. It was only one text I don't understand why he's so agitated?

I decide to leave him be while I work on creating my own business. I update my CV and scoured the internet for photographer opportunities. There was none... too bad. Maybe I'll set up a website. I'll just create my own business and ill build it up myself. No... that won't work.

I grab my phone and go into contacts and search for my parents. I know they were the only reason why I moved away with Luke but one phone call won't hurt. No, I've got to stay strong money can't buy me everything.

I put my phone on the table and I look through some pictures that I've already taken. Maybe I'm just an amateur like that woman said.

I should probably make amends with Luke, he can't be mad at me for more than an hour.

"Hey Luke, can you tell me why you're mad?" I asked, popping my head round the door

"It's nothing, Skye... I just feel a bit stressed that's all"

We hugged and that's it. I could still feel like there was something wrong.

"Where's aunt Karrie?" I asked

Then we got the phone call that would change our live.
