Chapter 8

-Next Week-

Mione was petrified. I sat on her bed looking at her sadly. Her hand was ice cold. I sighed as Kitty came in with Ron and Harry. "She was found near the library" Kitty said. Harry wrapped touched her hand.

"How long will she be like this" Rom asked. "Weeks, maybe even months, we'll never know until we find the right potion" She said.

I sighed. I felt someone hold my hand. I smiled as I saw the Quidditch gloves.

-Timeskip-

I stood on the stairs with Ron and Harry. His arms wrapped around my waist possessively.

Kitty came into our Common room. "Can I have your attention please, because of recent events, These new rules will be into effect immediately" She said

She quickly gave out the new rules. The look in here eyes was saddening. "I shouldn't tell you this, but unless the culprit behind these attacks is caught, It is likely the school will be closed" She said I can almost hear her voice cracking.

I gasped. "T-They can't close Hogwarts" I said looking up at Harry. "We've got to talk to Hagrid guys, I cant believe its hum, but If he did set monster loose last time, he'll know how to get inside the chamber of secrets" Harry said. "How are we gonna get out of the castle if we have to be here by 6" I asked softly. He thought for a while.

"Time for the invisibility cloak" He said.

-Nightime-

We walked to Hagrid's house. We all fitted under the invisibility cloak. Harry knocked on the door. "Who's there" I heard Hagrid say and he kocked the door open. I looked at the crossbow in his hand.

We took ocf the cloak, he looked relieved. 'I wonder why' I thought and smiled at him.

He looked so nervous and paranoid. "Hagrid what's wrong" I asked taking the teapot from his shaking hands.

"Its nothing" He said with a sighed. "Did you hear about Mione" I asked him. "Yea I heard about that alright" He said.

Harry and Ron exchanged a look. Harry licked his lips. I looked away blushing at that action. "Look we have to ask you something" He said pulling me to him, He wrapped his arms around my waist. "Do you know who opened the chamber of secrets" He asked.

Hagrid froze at the question. He took a deep breath. "What do you have to understand ab-" Hagrid got cut off, by a knock on the door.

We all shared a looked of horror. Fang started barking. I grabbed the cloak. Harry quickly grabbed me and put me behind him protectively. I saw Hagrid smile at that. I blushed. Harry pulled the cloak over us.

Hagrid opened the door, and I saw Papa and Cornelius Fudge. "What are they doing here" I whispered as I stared at Papa.

Fudge started talking about how three muggle borns were attacked and talking about taking Hagrid away. Harry stepped back and wrapped his arms around my waist.

Suddenly the door opened. We looked and saw Lucius. Harry and Ron had sneers on their faces.

Hagrid grew angry and told Lucius to get out his house. "Believe me I take absolutely no pleasure being inside your....you call this a house" He said walking over to where we were , We backed up.

"I was told that the headmaster was here" He said. Papa looked at him. "What exactly that you want with me" Papa said.

He said that Papa needs to step down. Ron gasped. I shoved my hand over his open mouth. No one seemed to hear it.

Lucius started walking towards us. We stepped back. Hagrid was furious. Papa stepped up to Lucius. "However you will find that help will be give at Hogwarts to those who ask for it" Papa said. He looked over his half moon spectacles at us, with a slight twinkle in his eye. I blsuhed. "Its almost like he's know we're here" Ron whispered in awe. "He does, Papa knows everything" I whispered.

Papa gave us one last look before leaving with Malfoy.

"Well If uhh, If anybody was looking for some stuff, then all they have to do is follow the spiders" Hagrid said and left with Fudge.

We took off the cloak
"Papa can't go" I said still in shock of the conversation. "Avi and Hagrid are right, Without Dumbledore, there will be attacks in a day" Ron said

I noticed something move across the floor. I looked and saw Spiders. "Look" I said trailing the the spiders as they left the window.

"Come on" Harry said grabbing the lantern and my hand. We went outside and saw the spiders leading to the Dark forest.

"Come on" Harry said. "What" Ron voice cracked. "You hear what Hagrid said, follow the spiders" He said. " But they're headed into the dark forest" Ron said. Harry looked at him, then Me. We began to walk. "Why Spiders, Why couldnt it be follow the butterflies" Ron said.

We followed the little spiders into a hole underground. Harry held me to him. Of course I was scared. "Stay close to me, I don't want to to get hurt" He said to me, his arms tighten around me. I could feel him looking at me with a protective stare. I looked up and kissed his cheek. "Always" I said looking him in his sea green eyes. They often more than they already were.

He smiled.
