(Time skip 6 months later...)
Storm's POV
My baby was born. I cradled her in my arms. Evie, Brandy, and Donovan had come. Brandy looked bewildered at the younger girl. "What should we name her?" Alex asked. I thought for a moment as my baby yawned. "Kaedon. Kaedon Lydia Moore-Sanzio." I said. Alex nodded and wrote it down on the birth certificate. I handed Kaedon to Evie and she looked at her.
"Kae." Brandy said, pointing at Kaedon. I clapped and gave her a hug. Alex returned into earshot as Brandy spoke. "Wow. Her first word is for one of her sisters." Alex said. I nodded. Evie handed Kaedon to him and he cradled her as well. I sat up and glanced at my family. Alex pulled something out of his pocket.
I looked at him, smiling. He got down on one knee. "Storm, this last little while with you has been amazing. I know we've been through a lot together and I want us to stay together. You're my best friend," he broke off and I saw Evie had picked my phone up and was recording this. "What I'm trying to say is, Storm, will you marry me?" My smile grew even larger. "Yes. I will. Odd place to propose, the hospital. At least you aren't cliché." I said.
Alex hugged me and I kissed him. It was official. These last 7, almost 8, years had been insane. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. There was a bassinet near my bed and Kaedon was set down to sleep. "Mamá? Was I ever that small?" Evie asked me. I thought briefly before answering. "No, Honey. You were a bit bigger when you were born." I said.
The door opened and Alpha Chris walked in. I immediately went on guard. He looked at everyone awkwardly. "Errm, Malorn. I'm sorry for not believing you." he said. I sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of my nose. "My name is Storm. Now out, I need sleep." I said. He obeyed and left. My family, except Kaedon, left. I looked over at the bassinet. My baby was sleeping peacefully. I slowly drifted off to sleep, listening to the sound of my baby breathing.
