Sans' POV
Sans breathed in and out. He had to try this. He knocked on her door. She opened it looking sad. Sans frowned, but he forced a grin.
"heya kiddo. i was wondering if i could show you something?" He asked.
"Sure whatever. What is it?" She replied. He smiled. At least she had agreed. He took her hand and teleported her to the cave. She looked around and then at the echo flower. She looked confused.
"listen to it. i'll wait outside the cave kid. see ya in a bit." He said and left.
"Hey! Wait! What is this about?" She called, but Sans kept walking.
Your POV
You were confused. Why had he brought you here? You sighed and listened to the echo flower.
"It's okay to feel alone. If you don't want to talk to me, then an echo flower is the best thing. Trust me." It said. You knew Sans had set you up. You sighed. He probably wouldn't let you leave until you told it something. You sat down and started talking.
"Alright, I'll bite. I became leader of my group because they all knew about my strong feeling of rage towards monsters. I wanted to get rid of them because of something that happened a long time ago. I just wish it wouldn't have happened. That day I learned that monsters just turn on you. I thought I could trust them and they took everything from me." You said. It repeated what you said. You got up and walked out. Sans looked over at you.
"done kid?"
"Yeah, go and listen to it if you want to. I don't care." You said. He sighed.
"i heard it already."
"Then take me home." You growled. He took your hand and you were back. You pulled your hand out of his grip and left. He looked upset.
"kid, please just tell me what you meant. what happened back then? why do you hate so much?" That's it. You couldn't take his constant asking.
"I HATE MONSTERS BECAUSE THEY KILLED MY FAMILY!" You shouted. He froze in horrified shock. You glared at him tears streaming down your face. "And not just any monsters, skeletons." You hissed. "10 years ago I was walking through these very woods with my family. I had a secret though. I had a friend. She wasn't human. We had plans to meet by the old bridge that went over the stream. We did. I snuck away and found her there. We played together, but then I heard my mother scream. I ran back, leaving my friend there. What I saw, is unforgettable. I saw two skeletons, covered in blood. My parents were dead. My siblings were cowering in fear. We ran for our lives. But being little kids meant we weren't faster then....them. I still remember the one that killed my brother right in front of my eyes. It was a creature that stood eight feet tall. It had the skeletal head of a dragon or something. It's body was the skeleton of a wolf. With one snap of it's jaws, my brother was dead. It dropped his body and stared at me. I couldn't move. It was about to kill me when suddenly I heard a whistle. It looked at me one last time and then it ran away. I didn't want to take my chances. I ran as fast and far as I could. I was on my own. The other one had killed my sister. I never found her body but there was blood all around the place I'd gone. After that I just wanted revenge. 5 years after that I ran into them again. The same two skeletons. I knew how to handle them this time. Their stupid creatures chased me and I ran into a cave. I caused a rock slide and it crushed them. I then waited for the skeletons to show up. When they did I shot them both. But I knew there was, one, skeleton, left. I tracked her down and found out that she now had two siblings of her own. I killed her younger brother, but she escaped with the baby. I never saw her again. I swore to my family I'd avenge them. I knew the barrier would break one day. When it did, I lurked in the underbelly of the city. I made my army. We all agreed to finish what you started." You said. Sans looked overwhelmed. You started to leave.
"i'm sorry." You stopped.
"What?" You asked. He looked guilty. You turned toward him.
"i'm...so sorry kid i....i didn't know it went that deep. i...i get why you hate us....why you hate me. heh, it all makes sense. you were the victim all along." He said. You frowned.
"I just want my family back, but there's nothing that can bring them back." You said. His eyes were black. You felt all of the guilt you had before. "Now you know why I just want to die. It doesn't matter. I have no one left." You said, starting to cry again. You grew shaky with grief. You fell to your knees crying. He looked up.
"kid?"
"Just do it Sans. Please.....there's nothing left here for me....." You cried. He walked over. You waited.....nothing happen....what?
"kid, are you sure you want me to.....?" He asked.
"I can't do this anymore." You whimpered. He shakily gathered his magic. Bones circled you. You closed your eyes. He hesitated. "I know you don't want to Sans. It's okay, I won't rush you." You said calmly.
Sans' POV
i....i don't want to kill her. He thought.
"I know you don't want to Sans. It's okay, I won't rush you." She said. He froze. Sans knew it would only take one move. All he had to do was flick his wrist and it'd be over. Just, one, move. He prepared himself. Then suddenly he felt overwhelmed by the sheer force of what he was doing. i can't do it! He screamed to himself. Before he knew what he was doing Sans knelt down there, grabbed her and pulled her close. She gasped. "Sans?! What are you-" Sans cut her off. He kissed her. Sans couldn't control himself. To his surprise she kissed back. Sans felt overwhelming affection for her. Suddenly he found himself asking for permission to enter. She accepted. Their tongues tangled together. Sans had never felt like this before. He held her close. Her arms slipped around his neck. Sans let a moan slip out. She pushed slightly harder. Sans was shocked. Had he just....no....did he? did she....like that? Suddenly her tongue slipped into his mouth.
"mph!" Sans let out a startled noise. Then he melted back into the kiss. He moaned quietly again. she's..so....amazing..... He thought dazed. Sans was loving every second of this. He never wanted it to end, but they had to part for air. Sans internally whimpered when she pulled away. She looked sad to have it end too. Sans didn't care if he was rushing in just like that. He pulled her close and kissed her cheek. "i love you (Y/N)." He admitted. She kissed his jaw line. "I love you too Sans." She said. That triggered him. Sans kissed her again. After years of being cut off, disconnected, alone, they both finally were able to feel real emotions again. No more hate, no more hurt, no more pain. Sans had never felt happier. The girl he had wanted to hate became the girl he'd learned to love. When the kiss ended Sans saw tears in her eyes. He could feel his own running down his face. He smiled at her. "kid....i didn't realize before, but....i don't want hurt you. remember this, even if nobody else does, i will care about you. your skin is not paper, don't cut it. your face is not a mask, don't hide it. your size is not a book, don't judge it. your life is not a film, don't end it." Sans told her. She smiled. "*Sniff*......Okay....."
