"Miss. Cabello you're awake!" A shrill voice screeched.
That was the first thing Camila heard as her eyes fluttered open. She sat up abruptly. The last thing she remembered was backing away from Dinah.
She looked over and just about screamed when she saw Ally Brooke sitting next to her, grinning in a very creepy way.
"What happened?" The teacher asked as she rubbed her eyes groggily.
"You passed out" Ally said in her always cheery voice "I believe it was either a lack of food or water which made you dehydrated or perhaps low in blood sugar. It's happened to me before"
The Latina shook her head and furrowed her brow "I don't think that's what it was..."
"Well the doctors would know best, i suppose!"The tiny girl chuckled. Then she gasped "I should tell everyone!"
She was gone before Camila could make a grunt of protest. Soon the entire glee club was filing into her hospital room. This included a very shy looking brunette who looked everywhere but at Camila.
"How are you feeling Miss. Cabello?"Ms. Hansen asked.
The Latina shrugged "I've been better..."
All the kids said something that was supposed to be comforting and the filed out. Ms. Hansen did the same and Camila was left alone except fot one last student.
Lauren fidgeted with her fingers and loocked around "A- Are you sure you're okay Miss. Cabello?"
Camila smiled. "I'm fine. Thank you Lauren"
"Well... what happened? Why didn't you want to sing? I'm sure you're amazing!"
The Latina gulped"Lauren... I haven't sung in a really long time..."
"So? You'll be great!"
"Something happened... That made me stop singing. I'm just not ready to do it again"
"What happened?" Lauren then flushed bright red. "Oh sorry. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to"
Camila gave her a half smile. "It's okay. I just... I'm not ready to sing again"
The brunette nodded "Alright" Then she turned and skipped out of the room
The teacher found herself grinning. This girl was so adorable and kind. How could anyone be mean to her? It was physically impossible or something.
"Hey Camila!" The doctor sang, walking in to the room. "How are you feeling?!"
"Fine" Camila frowned at how loud she was talking. "I can go home"
"Alright!" The doctor called "But i think you should consider talking to our psychologist! Or else we can refer you to another!"
The Latina shook her head fast. "No no. That won't bw necessary. I'm past that"
Once she was discharged Camila went staright home, thinking about what the doctor said. She had enough therapy to last a lifetime but what if she did need mre? After all, she had passed out simply from thinking about singing.
Maybe...
No.
She couldn't fo back to that. All it would do is drudge up too many bad memories.
Lauren lied in a starfish position on her perfectly made bed as Uptown Girl by Billy Joel blasted through the speakers. She sighed. She was so hopelessly in love with Miss. Cabello.
And yes, it was love. She just knew it.
But her teacher was so mysterious. Where was she from? What was her past? And had she fainted? Why couldn't she sing? There were so many questions that Lauren was certain her brain would explode.
She wanted-no-needed to know more about her teacher. She was so amazing and so secretive and it just made the cheerio like her even more.
Suddenly Billy was singing "Only the good die young" and Lauren was making a decision. She would get to know Miss. Cabello. Whatever it took.
