Lauren sighed. "I can't do it!" Sh groaned and put her head down on the desk.
Miss. Cabello couldn't help but grin at her student's antics. "Of course you can"
"But i can't remember how to say walk!"
"Remember our system? I had a friend who-"
Lauren's face lit up. "Who walked everywhere and he was Latino! Andar! ANDAR!"
"You got it!"Camila cheered, giving the brunette a high five. "I knew you could do it!"
"Not without you"
The teacher shrugged "well i don't know... i mean you're smart. Really smart and you could do it by yourself"
The cheerio shook her head.
Once they both finished laughing Lauren decided to ask a question she had been wondering since first period.
"Miss. Cabello?"
"Yes?"
"Why'd you get so upset about the domestic abuse thing?"
The teacher froze. "B-Because it's awful"
Camila sighed. She might as well tell her, there was no point hiding. Not with Lauren.
"I... I was... When i was in college it.... Happened to me" Camila turned back to her desk quickly and pretended to be looking for something.
Lauren's eyes just about popped right out of her head. "What?"
"My boyfriend used to... Hit me in college. Hey i think it's about time for you to go home y'know?"
"Camila..."
The teacher whipped around "What?"
Lauren turned bright red. "Oh. I- I meant Miss. Cabello. I'm sorry!"
"Okay, let's get one thing clear Lauren. You have already crossed the line. You crossed the line when you asked about something personal and just now"
"You're not... You haven't stopped me"
"Which is even worse!" Camila exclaimed.
"Lauren, this can't go on if it's gonna be like this. It's getting too personal and i could get in big trouble"
The brunette could see where this was going.
"Maybe we shouldn't do this tutoring thing anymore..."
"No!" The cheerio yelped. "Please don't! I still need you! I'm still having trouble and... i don't want you to be mad at me..."
Camila sighed. She knew something was happening. She could feel it in the pit of her stomach. Whether this thing was good or bad, was the part she couldn't figure out. Lauren made her feel happy, but that was wrong on so many levels. Even if she was a senior and almost eighteen, that would be illegal.
Wait, why was she even thinking about that? She wasn't even positive she liked Lauren that way! She was a student for God's sake!
"Miss. Cabello, i'm sorry, okay? Please keeep helping me though. I promise i won't say anything bad again! And I'll be a perfect student" Lauren begged. She was on the verge of getting down on her knees and begging at Camila's feet. She still needed help and more than that, she didn't want Camila to be mad at her.
The teacher sighed. "Alright, Lauren this can only be leaning though. I honestly don't know what happened but I'm just your teacher."
"I know that"
"Okay. Let's move on to some verb work"
Lauren sighed. She would just give anything to kiss Camila right now.
