6:00am

I look over to Riley's bed and notice that she still isn't home. When she didn't come home last night I wasn't really worried. She seems like a party girl. I walk into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I pull my hair into a bun before stripping from my clothes. I grabbed one of the wash cloths hanging on the railing and hopped in letting the hot water coat my body.

I'm not going to lie. I am nervous about today. My first college class. I don't know what to expect. Maybe I'll actually meet more people that are like me. More organized and serious about school.

After washing up and washing my hair I hopped out. I wrapped the towel around my wet body and walked over to the sink. After brushing my teeth and washing my face I walked over to the closet and debated briefly on what I should wear. I scolded myself for not doing this last night but I fell asleep. I decided to grab my baby blue patterned sweater and my baby blue skirt along with a pair of white flats. I tossed the outfit on the bed.

As I got dressed I heard my phone buzz.

Elijah:
Ready for today ?

I replied back saying yes before checking the time.

6:35am

Good I still have time to be a little early. I'm glad that my classes are walking distance so I won't have to rush. I grab my notebooks, my and my keys before heading out.

First day.

Very nervous...

As I walk into the classroom, I notice a few students sitting down at their seats but not many people were here yet. I decide to take a seat in the front just so I can hear the professor better.

Professor Hill is his name.

I look down at my phone to check the time one last time as I notice more and more students walking in.

6:56am

I turn my phone off and put it in my back pocket before opening my notebook. I look up briefly when see the chair from beside me being pulled away from its desk. "Hi." He smiled as he sat down. "Hi."

"I'm Niall." He said before holding out his hand for me to shake." I smile in relief at his manners. "Eva." I smile, shaking his hand. "Are you a freshman?" He asks. "Yes. You are?"

"A sophomore. I'm ready to get out of here though." He chuckled. "Really?"

"Yeah. College isn't what I thought it would be." He sighed before pulling out his notebooks. My eyebrows furrowed. "What do you-"

"Hello everyone. I am professor Hill." Professor Hill greeted.

What does he mean "not what he thought it would be"?

The class ended fairly quickly and I was relieved. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice class but he was covering things that we already knew. Didn't help much at all. I grab my books and head towards the door. "Eva." I hear Niall call out from behind me." "Hey." I smiled as we continue walking. "So how was it? You liked it?" He asked referring to the class. "It was nice I guess. He was basically just saying things that we already knew. You knew that stuff right?" I asked.

"Y-yeah of course. I don't know why he did that." He chuckled lightly. "Well where are you going to next?" He asks. "I don't think I wanna to tell you that." I chuckled lightly as we walked out of the building. "Why?"

"You could be a stalker or something." I tell him causing him to chuckle. "If I were a stalker why would I be talking to you right now? Stalkers usually just watch from a distance." He says. "Fine. I have literature." I tell him.

"Is that what you're studying?"

"Yes. I'm going to be a writer." I tell him confidently. "That's good." He smiled causing me to do the same. "Well I'll see you later on in life? Next class?"

"Yeah I guess." I chuckled as he walked off. He seemed sweet. Well nice.

After turning my phone back on I see that's it 9:45am. I have about an hour and a half until my next class. I decided to stop by this coffee shop called Daisy's for some breakfast.

"I will have the mixed fruit and hot tea please." I told the waiter as she took my order. "I'll be right back." She says cheerfully before grabbing my menu and walking off. I decided to call Elijah. I have to tell him about class.

The phone rung a couple of times before he answered. "Hello beautiful." He says causing me to smile instantly. "Hi handsome. What are you doing?"

"Grabbing breakfast before heading to school. Speaking of school. How was class?" He asks. "Well my first class was boring all he did was-" I was cut off my my phone buzzing. "Hold on babe. Mom's calling me." I told him before answering. "Hello?"

"How was your first class?" She asks. "It was good, mom." I tell her. "Good. I was just looking at your schedule. How is that roommate of yours?" She asks. "I actually haven't seen her since yesterday." I said as the waitress comes back with my fruit and tea. "Thank you." I mouth to her.

"Shocker." She says sarcastically causing me to chuckle. "Be careful around her."

"Okay mom I will. I have to go. Elijah is on the other line." I tell her.

"Okay. Do not be late for class." "Okay bye." I say before hanging up.

I don't know why she is so worried about Riley. She's probably never going to be in the dorm anyway.

"Hello?" I say making sure Elijah was still there.

No answer. I sigh and try to call back. I look up briefly and see Riley, Louis, and the guy that barged in last night sitting at a table on the other side of the diner.

He doesn't seem mad anymore...
