Ch.10 Luke. I like her

I woke up on top of maya. It's a wonder how I don't crush the small thing. She and the guys were already up. She was drumming lightly on my head.

"Luke wake up." She said still drumming lightly.

"But you're so warm." I whined. I hugged her small frame closer. If only I could do this all the time. If only she was mine to hold. She stopped patting my head.

"Luke you do this every morning." She sighed "I'll make you stop cuddling me at night if you won't start waking up." I don't think I've ever jumped faster.

"I'm up!" I yelled sitting up. They all started laughing at me and heat rushed to my cheeks. Their laughter and my embarrassment was interrupted by Maya's phone ringing. She got up and walked over and grabbed it. She pressed answer and brought it to her ear.

"Hello" she said smiling. Her smile quickly fell and we all started getting worried.

"Are you serious?" She asked.

"You work in fucking files Mitchell! How the hell can you be worse at spelling than a second grader?" She groaned.

"Yeah. You Tell me it's an emergency, get me all worried, then tell me you need to know how to fucking spell!" She barked. She pinched the bridge of her nose and went to her room. She came back a few moments later.

"Sorry guys. He called me and told me it was an emergency then asked me how to spell certainly." She apologized. Before we could even respond her phone rang again. She looked at the caller ID and laughed. She accepted the call and put it on speaker.

"Agent dumbass. How nice to hear from you." She laughed.

"Ah maya. So glad to see you haven't changed a bit." The man on the other end laughed.

"Boys this is agent dumbass, say hi." She said.

"Hi agent dumbass." Michael chuckled.

"Hello Michael." Agent dumbass laughed back. We were all shocked. We never met him, let alone heard him on the phone.

"I think you just blew their minds. Anyway, what was it you're needing?" Maya asked.

"Oh yeah. As it turns out, the guys you caught weren't the main brains. They were accomplices so the boys will remain in your protective custody until you catch them. Is that okay with you?" Agent dumbass asks. Please let us stay with her. Please.

"Perfectly fine by me. Is that all?" She replied. Oh thank god.

"Actually the threats stopped recently so the boys will start getting into a regular ish schedule again in a day or two. That's it." He informed.

"Okay thanks agent dumbass." She replied.

"Welcome maya. Talk to you later. Bye boys. Bye maya." He said.

"Bye" we all chorused and the call ended.

"Agent bumbass?" Calum questioned.

"He raised me and Mitchell ever since we're were five. He's like a best friend." Maya explained. We nodded.

"Okay Mikey will you help me move my mattress back?" Maya asked. He nodded. "Okay. Boys move your guys stuff back to your rooms please." She ordered. We all did what we were told.

"CALUM! what did I tell you about the no naked rule!?" Maya yelled shielding her eyes. Calum had come out of the bathroom, butt-ass naked.

"Oi calum there's a lady in here!" Ashton yelled. I stood behind maya and cupped my hands over her eyes. Ashton stood in front of her, facing me, to block her from the naked moron.

"Sorry! I can't find my underwear. I thought she would be doing work or something!" Calum defended.

"My work is to make sure you guys stay alive and put the person behind it all behind bars. I think I'm doing a damn good job at that considering you're standing there stark naked and breathing!!" She retorted. Calum reddened at the statement.

"Do you guys know where any is?" Calum asked.

"No I don't. Just use a pair of mine. Stop fondling your junk and go." I said. Maya and Ashton giggled at my statement. Whenever Calum was out of sight I released maya.

"That was way more than I needed to see." Maya said. Me and Ashton nodded.

"I need to do some computer work and some updating. Hopefully closing this case." Maya said

"Okay." Ashton smiled. She walked off into her bedroom.

Ashton quickly grabbed my wrist and dragged me to his room.

"Spill" he demanded.

"What?" I asked.

"You and maya." He said. I immediately reddened at his statement

"S-she's cool" I sputtered.

"Luke" Ashton warned.

"Okay! I might have a small crush on her" I admitted quietly.

"I knew it!" He yelled. Before I could tell him to shut up we heard a groan of annoyance. We couldn't understand but someone was talking. But then suddenly...

"OH YEAH?! YOU TRY HOUSING FOUR TEENAGE BOYS ALL OLDER THAN YOU THAT HAS A PSYCHO AFTER THEM AND WANTS THEIR HEADS DETACHED FROM THEIR BODIES!... SO WHAT IF I GET K.I.A! IF I DO THATS HOW IM SUPPOSED TO GO!... IT DOESN'T MATTER AS LONG AS THOSE BOYS MAKE IT OUT ALIVE.... IF YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER THEN WHY DIDN'T BARILLO PUT YOU ON THE CASE HUH?.... I DON'T CARE! ID TAKE A BULLET FOR THEM ANY DAY! YOU'D FUCKING RUN LIKE THE PUSSY YOU ARE!... FUCK YOU!" That was most certainly maya. Me and Ashton exchanged terrified glances. We left his room and went downstairs. Maya was pulling her hair and pacing.

"H-hey maya. You okay?" I asked.

"You guys heard me didn't you?" She asked still pacing.

"Yeah." Ashton answered.

"Sorry. I'm just really stressed and an idiot from the agency was bothering me. Let's get ready for bed." She said. We did what seemed to be our new nightly routine. After we'd all laid down Ashton spoke.

"Maya, what's K.I.A. mean?" Ashton asked. Maya stiffened under me.

"Killed in action." She said. My eyes widened. She could get killed during this case?

"Y-you could get killed during this case?" I asked.

"Yes. Don't worry. I could doesn't mean I will. I've been on over three hundred missions. I'm basically immortal." She said. "Go to sleep. You have a busy day tomorrow."

We decided not to fight her and we went to sleep

Is it bad I have chapter 31 written but not the ones between 14 and 31? Tbh I love ch.31 and ch.14 more than life. 14 is just AHHH :D
