Leaving home:

Okami Fukashima. That's my name. In the wolf kingdom though, I'm addressed as Princess Okami since I'm the daughter of King Toshio, the Alpha king of the whole forest we all animals call "home". Since I'm turning sixteen soon in two more months, my coronation will be coming up soon as well. After my sweet sixteen though. Because I also inherited the beauty looks from my mother, all the male wolves were always acting so silly like omegas around me. As well as drooling and howling, stuff you'd expect from wolf boys. Probably because I'm a white wolf, and that makes me extra beautiful. Another thing I inherited was the intelligence and inner warrior from my father. That's a big advantage for me when you come to think of it, I can easily catch prey, I can easily escape from enemies, and because I know how to fight like a wolf, you know I don't hold back on enemies or prey. That's why my father keeps insisting that I'm perfect to take the throne, and also the very reason why he sometimes tries to push the coronation early, but that never happened. I don't even feel ready yet! "Dad, no, leave it at two months, it goes by fast anyway" "Okami, with your skills and quick thinking, the forest needs an new Alpha that can lead them better and protect them better," "But Dad! Not so soon! I'm not ready yet!" "Why not sweetheart?" I hang my head low and look down upsetly. "I may have potential, but you know how humans are, they're dangerous, and I haven't even met nor defeated nor escape one before. Ever." "Doesn't mean you won't ever do" then he sits down next to me. "I know it's not easy, but the forest needs a leader like you, to look up to, to be protected by," "I know!" I accidentally shouted, then we both went silent until I finally softly said, "But I can't, I just can't..." "Why ever not? I know your ready" "no," I start to run away, "I'm sorry Dad, I'm not" no matter how many times Dad called, "Okami! Wait!" My wolf legs still ran and ran until I reached home. Then I locked myself away in my little bedroom and stared at the wall. "I just can't..." then I look over at a picture of my mother. "I don't wanna loose anyone else...." then I start to cry. "Mommy.....why did those humans have to do this to you? Why do humans hate us to do such a thing?" Then I start to becone angry, "that's just not fair..."

Knock knock....

"Who's there?" "Okami, it's me" I smile a little, "Me who?" "Uh, me? As in, your father?" Then I giggle a little and cheer up. "Alright, come in..." and he comes in. "Okami....look....I'm not stupid, okay? When you run home, I know you look back at your fear...." I jump up a little surprised, "Dad, what are you talking!? I'm not scard of anything!" "Not scard of anything, but one thing..." I froze a little in shock, then asked, "What'cha talking about, I ain't afraid of nothing! Wolves are vicious! Not pathetic! Nor cowards either!" "Okami! Calm down!" Then I calm down. If there's one thing I regret inheriting, it's my Dad's vicious side. "Dad...I'm sorry..." "Don't be, you know I'll always love and forgive you anyway, right?" Then I smile, "Yeah..." then he comes and hugs me. "I miss mommy so much..." "I know you do, but there's nothing we can do, we can't control what happened" "We can't control humans" I finished for him. It's true. Humans have hated us for years! Maybe a decade, maybe a century! Who knows how long? I just couldn't understand what it was though that they hated about us. Maybe our guts. They've probably afraid of our guts. Yeah. They know we're tough, so they hate it! It makes me wonder how strong humans are. Probably not much 😡. Then finally, after two months pasted by quick, like I said, the day of my coronation came. That day was the final day that Dad was gonna push me into the position of the throne. No word about. No doubt about it. Today, I was gonna become the Queen Alpha of the forest. "Is it tradition to do this if the Queen or King has a daughter or son? To place them in position of the throne weather a Alpha like me or an regular Omega with no experience or strength?" I asked Dad. "In a way, if you think of it like that, then maybe, but mostly, no. We do this because we know that the children of the Kings and Queens will be successful enough like them, inheriting thier skills, to take the throne in the future when they need to retire." "Why are you retiring though? You're the greatest one this forest has ever had! And a few Kings have reached over thier age limit of being King" "Because they were needed that long. Believe me, they wanted to retire, but they almost never got to because they cared for this forest so much, they knew they needed to stay longer, even if that means they die with no retirement. That's our honor law. We don't retire until everyone's perfectly safe and sound for the new ruler of the throne." My Dad explained. Then I look at him a little worried. "Dad, are you sure I have to do this?" "For everyone's sake, you'll be better than me, I just know. I can feel it in my spirit." Then I look at the red curtain in front of me and back him. "Okay, I'll do it." Then he walks up to the crowd outside and clears his throat. "Ladies and wolfmen, as you know, yours truly is retiring..." everyone aww's and cries as he continues talking serious, "It's for the good or better of our animal kingdom and I'm willing to step out and let a new generation step in and take on the throne! A new generation better than me! A new generation that will lead you all better and protect you all better!" Then everyone ooo's at the news and then my Dad finally introduces me smiling proudly, "I present to you, my daughter and your future Queen, Okami Fukashima!" Then I run out proud and smile at the huge, and I mean huge crowd cheering for me. "Okami!" "Go get 'em!" "Congratulations Oka!" That last one is what my friends call me. I got all types of compliments from everyone in the crowd. Wow. Maybe today is my lucky day! "Thank you so much everyone! You know that this is such an honor," I began to speak, "Being the new ruler won't be easy, I promise you that, but I ensure with my skills and intelligence, I'll be able to lead and protect this pack right! I promise you years of nothing but happiness, because I, Queen Okami Fukashima, will make the impossible possible again!" Everyone shouts excited, everyone claps, everyone cries tears of joy. They've never been such an inspirational speech like that since centries ago, where our animal kingdom was once happy, before humans came and destroyed that happiness. Well too bad humans, this time, things will be different! Then, as everyone claps and cheers, my father walks up to me. "I know you'll be such a successful ruler, don't ever loose hope and that prideful, powerful spirit of yours sweetheart. That spirit of yours will help get you through so much of life's obstacles and troubles. It'll help you save our forest." Then I smiled at him, "Thanks Dad, maybe I am ready to take control" "your not ready dear," "uh?" "your meant to take control..." then I smile at him more joyfully this time. Suddenly, we heard a weird sound. "Dad, what was that?" We all listened again carefully this time with our ears twitching at this horrible sound. Then my father picked up the sound. "Machines..." "Ma-what?" Dad looked at everyone paranoid and screamed, "EVERYONE TAKE COVER AND RUN!!!" Then we saw gaint yellow Construction mechines come in with frighting tools on them. One of them even had large sharp teeth that sank deeply into the ground! "EVERYONE EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY!!!" My Dad shouted as everyone screamed and panicked in horror. "COME ON! LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO!!!" he lead each one out of the forest. Then as I was running, I saw a lot of wolves left behind me, some were running to thier best of  ability while some others were getting injured by the large mechines. "Ha! Yeah, that's right! All of you animals scram! Scram! This is building property now! Ha ha!" One hunan said. I couldn't just let this happen! I had to go save them! "Everyone! Follow me!" I ran back and directed them to the exit. "Quick everyone! Run!" I tried pushing some squirrels and other animals towards the exit who were too slow. Then I looked back and saw one of friends! The mechine with the large teeth was coming straight at her! "Oka! Run!" Then I went into fierce mode and ran faster than the speed of light. Then I grabbed her out of the way, but got wounded in the process as I yelp. "Oka!" She got up and looked at my wound. "I told ya to run!" "No wolf left behind!" I shouted and then ran with her, my injury slightly bothering me. Then as we reach the exit, I look back at a human construction worker. "Bye bye animals..." I throw a very cold and dangerous growl and show him my sharp teeth as I frighten him. Then I walk out the exit and meet up with everyone. "Okami.....I'm so sorry...." "what's wrong Dad?" He looks at me very upsetly. "I wanted everyone to be safe and protected, but I never expected anything like this to happen, this never happened before! And-----Oh my god! Okami!" And turns to me and sees my wound. "What happened to you!?" I sigh and respond sadly, "While protecting one of my friends, the mechine with the sharp teeth got me, but no need to worry, I can patch it up right away!" Then I take white bandages from my father and wrap it around my right knee and leg. "You sure you'll be okay sweetheart?" "Positive, now let's nurse anyone else that's hurt..." then we look over at all the animals and see only a few injured. "Well, let's do it..." I say as me and Dad bring out medical tools and stuff. "Hey Queen?" "Hm?" I look over at a small cute wolf cub, "Will we ever find a new home or be safe?" My heart breaks at his cuteness and sadness and I sadly say, "I don't know, but for now, we need to stay safe and blend in somehow...." then after healing wounded animals, my Dad said, "Ready Okami?" "Yes Dad" then we both look over at the crowd and I say, "Okay everyone, let's go...."
