The only human in the world I would ever trust is Sasu! She I know I could trust, she's always kind to me and sticks to my side a lot of occasions where she should be on her brother's side. But that's what makes me grateful to at least have her. Now that I think about most of the stuff I've learned, Human education is really different than nature education, the health and security section of it definitely being far from similar. I've recently discovered the 'blush', 'jealousy', and some other things the humans taught me. They even showed me these things called 'Manga' and 'Anime' and they're actually pretty good, they're exciting enough to increase your anticipation and eagerness for more of it! Eventually, before I knew it, my birthday rolled around in an blink of an eye. "Oh my gosh Okami!" Madeline cheered in her cute tone, "Your birthday is coming soon, I'm so excited for you!" I kinda sigh and look disappointed, "Yeah, I'm just really sorry for myself that I have to celebrate it as a human" "Oh sweetie," she hugged me, "don't let that get you down, you have so many of us to celebrate with, you have Sasu and Akimti---" "DON'T SAY IT!" I interrupted her as I covered my face, which was turning red again. Then she giggled and moved my hands away from my face. "My dear, what makes birthdays special isn't any of it's features or outside looks," I look at her surprised, "it's the personality of it, what makes birthdays special is that it's a day of special joy given to you by your loved ones to not celebrate you getting older, but to show you how much they care about you, how much they love you." She then hugs me from behind and I smile at her happily. "You know what? You're right Madeline, that's what makes birthdays special..." then she stops hugging me and faces me. "And while your at it, do you want to invite some of your human friends to your party?" I jumped a little and then faced her. "W-What!? Madeline! You know animals and humans together are a bad mix" I reminded her worried. "Yeah, but, what about Sasu? She seems like a fine lady" Madeline smiled cutely. Then I smile back at her and agree, "True, but NOT AKIMITSU!!!" "Well," she gave me a worried look, "You know since she's the little sister of him, as her big brother he needs to go with her wherever she goes, so likely, wiether you like it or not, he would come." I slap myself in the face and then try to explain to her why Akimitsu can't come. "Madeline, he's a clown, he's a pure, annoying brat" she just giggles and says, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but, since your family and friends, including me, likes his humor, I'm afraid they'll insist you do invite him" Ugh. She's got me there. My family and friends have always been excited when I come home so they can hear some of his new adventures every day. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if dad came up to me later before leaving for school and said, "Here Okami, give these out to only your closest human friends like Sasu, Akimitsu is someone I would keep an eye out for, but invite him anyway, we kinda like him, he's a pretty funny, but good boy" good boy huh? Yeah. definitely something dad would say. Anyway, I'll do it, but not because I want to. After Dad gave me my invitations and kisses me goodbye on the cheeks, the government drove me to school, like usual, and dropped me off. After a while, I gave invitations out to very few students that I trusted. When I reached down to the last two, I breathed in and out and prepared myself. Then when lunch approached, I walked over to Sasu and Akimitsu with thier invitations. "Sasu, Akimitsu", they turn to look at me. Then Akimitsu looks at me funny and randomly says, "Now that your here, what was with the government driving you home that time?" "Ugh! None of your business!" I shouted angry as I blushed. Then I presented their invitation cards to them as they reacted surprised. "Really ms. Okami? Wow! Thanks!" Sasu cheered as she jumped high and waved her invitation back and forth proud. Akimitsu just stared at it surprised and worried, "Okay.....your inviting me to your birthday party?" "Y-Yes..." "Man, aren't you a little old at seventeen to celebrate them anymore? Plus, why me?" He asked rudely. Then I clenched both my fists and grinded through my teeth, "Believe me, inviting you was never my choice, but I'm forced to, because you have to watch your little sister, and because my family wants to meet you" his face goes completely shocked as he shouts, "You told your family about me!?" "So what!? They ask about everything at school! Do I have a choice!?" "I guess not" he turned his head away. Then he suddenly asked something weird out of nowhere. "Hey Okami..." "Yeah?" He kinda blushed a little while saying it too, "What are you interested in?" "What!? Why would you want to know!?" "Nothing! I'm just curious..." he blushed a little more. "Well," I look down at myself as Sasu looks at me curiously. "I do love nature a lot," I smiled, "it feels like home to me" then I smile at the two as Sasu smiles back and Akimitsu slightly smiles. " 'Kay, just wanted to know" "For what?" I asked him. He just blushed really bright and quickly snapped back, "Nothing! Just go eat your lunch with Sasu as me and Akihiko do so with ours" and with that leaves with Akihiko to eat lunch far away from us. Then me and Sasu chat about the birthday party and what I should wear and such. When I got home that day, everyone smiled and ran towards me giving me tight hugs. "Okami! Your growing up so fast!" One person said. "Okami, we're so happy and proud!" Another said. Then after hugging my Dad, he said he had a surprise for me tomorrow, which was my birthday. Thank goodness it's on a Saturday. "Okay dad," "You just go get some rest sweetheart, and we promise tomorrow will be a great, big day for you"
