Work - Modern Xander x Reader Part 2

I am feeling the writing mood! Whoop whoop! *cringe*. In part one I said this would be set only 1 year in the future, but I decided that it'll be 3 years later.

You sighed as you fell back onto your bed, the sheets wrapping you. You turned into your side, staring at your laptop.

Since all your homework was done, you opened the computer, quickly typing in 'XanderIsARamenHairedStump' as your password. It was long (hehe) but you had grown to be able to type it while barely looking at the keys.

Which for some people wouldn't be an accomplishment, but for you it was.

You weren't surprised when you were bombarded with notifications from Xander trying to FaceTime you.

You stared at the background, it was a picture that a photographer had taken at your and Xander's wedding. The two of you were sharing a kiss.

A sad smile spread across your face, you remember the day like it was yesterday although it was nearly 2 years ago.

You sighed, opening FaceTime and clicking on the contact 'XanderTheRamen'. The annoying beeping sound when you called him ticked you off a little, but for only a second as his face showed up.

He was still handsome as hell, a few blonde locks of hair in the middle of his face made you miss him even more.

"Y/n, hi" He said with a small smile. You looked around at the room behind him. He was currently at a hotel in Italy for a business trip.

"...Hey, Xander" You mumbled, you could hear Camilla come home silently by the faint sound of the door sliding to a close.

"So, how's everything?" He asked, the awkwardness was basically radiating off of you two. You had grown slightly distant after he started going on business trips last year. Some were for days, others weeks.

He was to stay in Italy for another dreadful week before coming home again.

You knew that Elise, Leo and Camilla were as disappointed as you. Not disappointed in Xander, but disappointed at how long he's gone for.

There was almost nothing more than you all -including Xander- hated, than him being away.

"Everything's good I guess" You mumbled again, looking away from the screen, "Camilla and Leo are already planning on a March break vacation, Elise is excited"

You saw Xander smile a little before frowning, "Wow, it seems like only yesterday that we still had small jobs, and Leo was in highschool, you were in college still" He said, he obviously missed those times, in actuality-everyone did, "Things changed so much, eh?"

"Yeah..." You said, with a small laugh, "I...can't wait till your back"

You looked over at the door, it was closed but you could hear that Elise was chatting with Leo and Camilla.

You looked at him blushing slightly,"I'll for sure be back in time for March break" He reassured you, sometimes he had to cancel on plans because of surprise work, "We'll go on a beautiful vacation, all of us!"

You giggled at the slight sparkle in his eyes, you knew he didn't want to be forced to cancel on this. He really wanted to spend more time with you and his family, certainly after the business trips.

"That sounds lovely, Xander" You smiled, blushing a little, "I'll go tell the others!"

After you heard an "Okay" from Xander, you hopped up and opened he door.

You found then all on the couch watching 'Everyone hates Takumi', a popular TV show about a pineapple.

You told them Xander's idea for a vacation and walked back over to your room, eagerly waiting to bring the good news to your husband.

"They said it'd be great!" You exclaimed, a hug smile across your face.

"That's great!"

The room was dark, only lit by the moonlight shining from the large, ceiling-to-floor window. You looked over at your lover, wrapped in the warm sheets as well.

You leant closer to him, wrapping your slender arms around his muscular chest. You felt his abs, tracing circles around them, humming quietly to yourself.

"Y/n?" You heard him groan, turning around to face you. As usual, his blonde locks of hair fell into his face.

You snuggled up to him, wrapping your arms around him tighter than before, moving yourself closer.

You felt his strong arms wrap around your neck, one hand caressing your cheek. You looked up at him, a cute smile on his face.

"I love you, y/n"

"I love you too, ramen hair"
