This is a modern AU so yeah
While Niles had memorized Laslow's entire schedule on Mondays, he couldn't seem to find him anywhere. He wasn't getting worried yet, just concerned about where the fuck his boyfriend is.
First Laslow went to visit his mom in the morning, then he practiced one-on-one combat, then he went to teach his dance class for a few hours. After that, he had a part-time job at Burger King and then he went home.
Niles had always thought his boyfriend had a busy schedule and compared to Niles' it was pretty busy. Niles barely did anything with himself and Laslow thought Niles could help around with the dance class.
As he walked with his hands scuffed in his sweater pockets, he laughed to himself. Niles wasn't a very graceful nor elegant person like Laslow and completely failed the steps Laslow had been teaching, getting the students to point and laugh at him.
"Where the actual fuck could he be?" Niles thought to himself as he walked faster on the sidewalk. Slightly pushing his way through the crowd at the bus stop.
"Watch where you're going young man!" An old woman snapped at him from like 17 feet underneath him in her wheelchair. He couldn't make much of a reaction other than the middle finger as he pushed past her.
The man smirked to himself after hearing the woman's offended gasp behind him, and he didn't have to turn to know she was staring at him opening the door to Burger King.
The little bell went off above him.
To his surprise and relief, the dark-haired man Niles loved was working behind the counter along with a few others. It was still weird to see Laslow with dark blue hair. He used to have a somewhat teal-like colour for hair. But, just a few months ago, Laslow had dyed it. Niles had liked the colour but still like this colour. It reminded him of the night sky filled with stars.
Niles smiled when Laslow made direct eye contact with him.
The older boy gave him a smirk before walking up casually to the counter as if he didn't know Laslow who was now grinning widely.
Laslow was already at the counter with a slight blush painted across his face that he failed to hide with the back of his hand. "What'll it be?" Laslow barely squeaked.
He always blushed wildly when Niles gave him that smirk.
"One triple whopper please" Niles looked up at the board and then directly into Laslow's, his eyes glowing. "With extra meat, please~"
Laslow choked out a laugh and barely heard the "if you know what I mean" Niles whispered under his breath.
Selena, an old friend of Laslow and an employee at Burger King glared at Laslow as he laughed his ass off. "Get back to work, you dummy!" She snapped, walking past him to serve a burger to another customer. "If you slack off with your stupid boyfriend, don't blame me when you get fired!"
Laslow had somehow managed to get Selena to give him a short break so he could calm down. Niles was waiting in a booth near a window looking out into the streets with a grin on his face as Laslow walked towards him. He still had a stupid grin on his face.
Turning his head towards his boyfriend, Niles gave him a quick wink before sitting up and leaning on the table, getting closer to Laslow.
"Was that necessary, Niles?" Laslow pouted, looking down at the counter. "Oh yes, it was~" Niles winked again.
"Though I have to admit, it was quite a surprise seeing you here" Laslow chuckled, leaning back in his seat "I wasn't expecting to see someone as beautiful as you today~"
