A loud knocking noise stirred me from my slumber. I groaned slightly before a female voice spoke.
"Miss Darling? I was sent to wake you, Sebastian-san said something about a tour of the house."
An hour of sleep did me good, I should have requested longer, but that would only cause suspicion. I flung the covers off. the cold air hitting me making me shiver.
"Ah yes. Come in." I replied before the door opened and a young lady who looked older than me by several years stepped into the room. she wore circular glasses and bore a smile that emitted a cheerful aura. just looking at her made me happy. she was in a maid uniform and fidgeted with the hem of her apron.
"Shall we go miss darling?" she said lowered her head so that her eyes would not meet my gaze. she was rather red, perhaps my staring made her uncomfortable.
"Gina. You may call me Gina. and what is your name?" she looked up and smiled yet again.
"Meylin at your service!" I chuckled before we stepped out from the room and headed down the hall. Starting the tour Meylin led me to the kitchen. Dinner was being prepared and a tall man with blond hair was prepping the food.
"Bard you better not blow up this meal! Our guest is a high class lady mmm yes." Meylin said enthusiastically. I was going to question what she meant by blow up, but no sooner then when the thought crossed my mind Bard whipped out a flamethrower and Meylin closed the door to the kitchen.
"Does he normally cook like that?" There was a loud boom from the kitchen. Meylin payed no mind to it.
"Mmm Yes. But Sebastain-san will take care of it like he always does. He's one great butler."
The tour ended with a viewing of the Phantomhive garden. It was a beautiful place, if i could stay longer I would have loved to star gaze. the garden was open enough and had a magnificent clearing where one could watch the stars.
"Enjoying the view Miss Darling?" A deep voice said, looking to Meylin who was now flustered, her face red as a tomato the voice must have belonged to Sebastian.
Turning around, I was met with the intense gaze from the red eyed butler.
"Quite so Sebastian."
"I thought you would. Dinner is waiting in the dining room, but since you prefer the open space I can arrange for it to be held outside."
"That would be lovely. Thank you Sebastian." He smiled and bowed to me before he left to attend to my preference in dining. I turned back to Meylin, she was smiling at me.
"Is something the matter?" Perhaps she was stuck like that because of Sebastian's presence. Meylin rapidly shook her head.
"Not at all Gina. It's something wonderful, normally Sebastian-san wouldn't change the eating arrangement, not when the dining room isn't blow-up." Blown up? Just what kind of things went on in the dining room?
"It's a butler's duty to cater to the guests whim, it's nothing out of the ordinary." I wouldn't know, but I heard Drocell sing this several times when he was building a butler of his own back at the castle.
I wondered if he was burned to ashes along with his house. Perhaps after I left this place, I could go back and check.
Dinner was served outside, Ceil didn't seem to fond of it but nevertheless he seemed to put up with it. His eyes seemed to change from blue to red when he got annoyed and smacked a mosquito. The change was within seconds, instantly fleeting as if it had never happened before. My eyes were always something I could trust, Drocell, never replaced my eyes because he thought they were so perceptive. That was interesting, perhaps Ceil himself was a supernatural being.
When Sebastian left us to go fetch dessert, Ceil coughed breaking the silence I had grown acustomed to throughout our dinner.
"Gina Darling is such a pretty name."
" Thank you. Ceil Phantomhive has quiet the ring to it." He chuckled before a serious look overtook his face, for one so young it was hard to believe that he could make such a face. His eyes changed again from blue to red then back to blue. This time it was more noticeable.
"Gina Darling however is not the name of the daughter of my American business associate. I had you checked." I held a smile as the Earl continued to speak, if needed I could easily escape. I could run through the trees and head into the woods. from there it would only be a few miles before we came to the road where I could hitch a carriage ride away from this town. Perhaps I'd go to the harbour and sail away to an island country. Grell and I always talked of lounging on the beach. Although his fantasies involved a shirtless Sebastian putting sunscreen on him.
"Now I ask who exactly are you?"
I smiled and placed my head on my hands leaning forward to stare into the Earl's eyes.
"My name is Gina that is the truth. "
"Who were you sent by?"
"A man named Drocell Keinz."
Ceil looked intrigued. "That man, what did he do to you?" I smiled and continued my tale.
"If it's gruesome things that get you off the worst he ever did was give me porcelain parts. He made other like me as well, only they never lasted long, I was his favourite."
Ceil chuckled. "Your his favourite, to send you here means he wanted something."
"You riches, jewels, anything of value."
"And will you fulfill that wish?" I chuckled and shook my head.
"I have no intention of doing so."
Sebastian came back rolling a metal cart. pastries, and many varieties of sweets were placed upon it.
"Dessert is served my lord." Ceil smiled as Sebastian placed the sweets in front of us.
"Your kidnapper, I used to know him. He was pest, always running around making dolls out of little girls." I nodded my head and picked at the cake placed in front of me. I wasn't one who favoured cake.
"The cake is not too your liking?" Sebastian asked.
"Not at all."
"How can one not like cake?" Ceil asked and I chuckled.
"Not everyone has the palette of a twelve year old boy, Mr. Phantomhive." That made Ceil frown, and Sebastian smirk.
"It seems Miss Darling has quite the sharp tounge my lord."
"Indeed Sebastian." Ceil paused before his eyes flickered from red to blue again, then a smirk matching the butlers was plastered on his face. "How would you like to work for me Gina? If Drocell had you as his favourite there must be a reason for it."
Before I had a chance to answer the sound of a chainsaw filled the air. Sebastian looked annoyed and Ceil even more so. Then there was laughter and withing seconds, the red hair chainsaw bearing reaper sat a top the dining table.
"Gina long time no see. You little fire caused me to come here a little later."
"Grell, you know her?" Sebastian asked as Ceil pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Of course Sebas-chan! Gina and I are friends, buddies, sisters!" Grell then turned to me. "Gina my darling, I'm afraid that Drocell didn't burn up in the fire like you had hoped."
That was upsetting. If he hadn't burned up then he would be coming to look for me soon. "Did you come here just to tell me that?" Grell shook his head and popped out his chainsaw. A creepy smile fell upon his face.
"Gina my darling, I've come for your soul."
So this is how it would end.
