JAY

I was glad she was done. Not because it took her forever. In fact it took her shorter amount of time than I had thought.

It was just too hard the whole time I was sitting there not to stare as I breathed her beautiful scent in and trying to fight from grabbing her around the waist and pulling her onto my lap to kiss her and claim her as mine.

I stood up and looked in the mirror and turned my head side to side to see and it was one of the quickest and best haircuts I had ever had. I think I might have found someone new to cut my hair.

"Looks good." I tell her with a smile.

         "Good." She smiles. "I'm glad."

"Here." I turn and hand her a $20 bill and tell her to keep the change.

She pushes it away from her. "No. It's on the house." She insists.

"No. You deserve it." I insist trying to hand it to her.

She laughs a little bit while saying, "No. Really. You're my boss' brother. It's on the house." She smiles.

        "Take it." I playfully demanded.

She looks at me and tries giving me a squinted glare, but then says, " How about you buy me a drink instead?"

Though I can tell by the look on her face that she might have not realized she asked me that.

I wanted to say yes. But I also know what would have happened. I couldn't get involved.

I just shook my head and replied "Just take the money."

I thanked her for the haircut. Told Rachelle 'bye' then left.

I didn't want to turn her down. But at the same time, I couldn't do it. She was my sisters friend and employee for one thing. I knew it just wouldn't have been a very good idea.

I could tell on my way out, when looking back at her quickly, that she was a little hurt.

'Good.' I thought. Maybe she would stay away from me if I made her think that I didn't have any interest.

It was for the best....Wasn't it?
