Chapter 1 - The Family

Casper's POV

"I knew it, i sooooooo knew it you're in love" my cousin, Kennedy said, teasing me while I was laying on the couch smiling at my phone.

"Excuse me, I knew you were annoying but not this annoying, what are you even talking about?" I said dumbfounded of the accusations that she was pointing at me.

"Uh huh sure, then why are you smiling like an idiot at your phone?" her perfect shaped eyebrows rising.

"Can't I just be smiling about what Topher sent me?" I also said raising my eyebrows.

"Him again? seriously you guys should just hook up already and get it over with, you both can't be separated anyways." she sassy talked back

"Ewwwwwww, Topher is just my best friend and were both not into each other." I said getting annoyed with this conversation.

"whatever you say cous..." she said before she turned to the fridge checking out what we had in the fridge.

I remained on the couch watching The Big Bang Theory and texting my best friend Christopher (Topher) about how his work was the most boring job in the whole galaxy, seriously I didn't even know that people pay you for just xeroxing their dang documents. I swear this summer is getting out of hand, my bestfriend has been photocopying the whole entire summer while I was traveling the world with my brothers and sisters. I wish I could have taken Topher with me on the cruise we went to it was amazing though it wasn't that amazing cause I didn't have my best friend with me. Since we only have about two weeks before the school start I wanted to start my training right away. I mean I wasn't the best at swimming for just sitting on the couch after all. Right when the episode finished I geared up and went to the olympic sized pool in my backyard, where I train myself to be the best, and the fastest in this city. After that I'm just not gonna be known as the daughter of Elliot Paxton, the world wide supermarket and the co-owner of the iCell Co. I'm gonna be Casper Paxton the best swimmer and #1 Olympic Gold Medalist in the whole entire world. The Casper Paxton that was different from all of the other families that are already big headed because they think they have all the money in the world. Please... I'm so over this fame thing, even social media is going crazy about who is the richest people or family in the world. Oh well I guess I can't take people's opinion nowadays.

As I was getting ready to go swimming, my dad asked me to test out their new electronic device in the water, at first I was skeptical about the idea because electricity and water doesn't really go well with each other but my dad said he'd count my participation as a job so he hired me as a tester for his company. Basically I just test his new devices before they release it to the public. Right now I'm about to test his waterproof earphones that can be used underwater for over 10 hours before the battery dies. and it is made out of silicon material great for swimmers like me to focus and not be pressured, though I'am a little worried about how my dad will sell this. The only targeted consumers for this product would probably be like me, the water lover. But I'am really not about to tell my dad that his invention is stupid, I gotta admit I need this for my training and I actually love it so no harm in trying to share his inventions.

I stretched my muscles before I dove into the cold water and started warming up for my laps, as my coach Bobbie said, training takes a lot of patience and hard work and warm ups will save your life. I was in the pool for almost 4 hours just doing laps after laps after laps. I guess you can I say I was used to it, used to the muscle pain after the training; but today was a bitch I had an unfamiliar feeling that today was gonna be different. I did 1 hour freestyle, 45 minutes backstroke, 45 minutes breaststroke, 45 minutes butterfly and the rest just had some easy laps. Right when I finished drying myself up one of the butlers called me up to the dining area so I could eat.

"Miss Casper, everyone is waiting for you at the dining area, your mom said you should join them; no whys and buts." Edward said

"Alright Edward, I'll be there in a bit I'll just take a shower and change, thank you and how many times do I have to tell you to just call me Casper?" I said smirking.

"Oh right maam, I apologize... oops I did it again, my bad. Casper." he said laughing.

"There you go, okay I'll go right ahead Eddie before Mama gets angry." i said while i was running towards my room. I don't really want to be on my Mama's bad side. I mean sh'e the best and most sweetest mom in the entire galaxy but damn if you're polite or have no manners in front of her all you will get is a pep talk and how life is not accepting bad people and the society will not accept my attitude towards others. And that was when I was looking at my phone during dinner time. As I was descending down the stairs I could hear laughter from the dining room and an unfamiliar voice joining in to the conversation, right when I was at the door of the dining area I saw Bruce Jenner the olympian. My eyes could not believe I was really in the same room as Bruce fucking Jenner. Oh lord oh lord oh lord, what should I say; my mind kept battling my inner thoughts when I see my dad waving his hand in front of me telling me something that I couldn't decipher.

"I-I-I'm sorry, what was that dad?" I said rambling, dammit.

"honey, your manners please don't just stand there and look at our guest greet them..." my beautiful mom (Elise) greeted them.

"I'm sorry about that Mr. Jenner, It's such an honor to be in a room with an Olympian." I said gaining my confidence back

"ahh another athlete I see?" he said interested

"yes sir, I'm the soon to be swim captain at Chamberlain High and I have great plans for the future in my swimming career. I'm Casper Paxton" I said raising my hand to shake his hand.

He took it right away and said "Oh I know who you are dear my dad talks about you all the time and he never shuts up about how great you're in any sport, though I didn't know swimming was your passion."

"It is sir, I'm still surprised I haven't slept inside the pool..." i said and everybody laughed along with my sisters (River and Wyatt) and brother (Parker).

"haha and you're funny too, my family will love you, they actually wanted to come but I'm guessing the move here was a little too tiring for them, I just wanted to greet my old college buddy and do business with him." he said to everyone.

"Oh that's sad I wanted to meet Kendall and Kylie and get some make up skills from them" my sister Wyatt butting in to the conversation.

As he was fixing his hair he said " oh you will meet her alright, we actually just dropped Kendall and Kylie here to study in Chamberlin High where all of you are currently enrolled at, and I'll take this time to ask a favor from you Eliot, can you please take care of my girls I bought a house just right around the corner so that if anything happens to my girls they can run to you for help. Will that be alright for you buddy?"

"Of course Bruce what are friends for. Just please tell them they are welcome here anytime, and I think my daughters will be glad to meet your girls." my father said rather kindly

"Thank you so much Eliot, I guess I'll be going now, I still have to tend to my family back at the house, you guys have a good night..." Bruce said walking out of the house.

"Bye Bruce see you soon" we all said in unison.
