Two Years Later: 2012

It's been almost two years since Andie moved. She's visited a couple times, but it's hard for her to make it out here since it's an hour away. About a month ago, we both took the train to Evanston, and spent the day together. It's a half way point between Vernon hills, and Chicago. We spent the day at the beach, and got food. Unfortunately, our parents found out, and we both got grounded.

I miss her...

Nothing's the same without my best friend being around. I know I have Ilya, Dom, and Alex, but they'll never be as close as Andie and I are. Sometimes I feel like running away to Chicago...

I just want to be with her all the time.

Next week is my birthday, and Andie is gonna try to convince her mom to let her come over. I really hope she says yes.

"Thank you so much, mom!" I yell, jumping on her, and hugging her. She just told me that I can go stay in Vernon Hills for two weeks for David's birthday!

"Listen, mija, I'm letting you go because you've been doing really well. I know that I've been keeping you away from your friends, and it's hard for you." She says sincerely, hugging me tightly.

"Thanks mom."

"Just behave while you're there, okay?" She asks, a worried look on her face. I reassure her that I'd be okay before running upstairs to call David.

I get to my room, closing, and locking my door. When we moved, we moved into a house so me, and my siblings can all have our own rooms. It's pretty cool.

I grab my phone, dialing David's number, and pressing call. It rings a couple times before he answers.

"Did you ask her?" David asks eagerly, making me laugh.

"Well hello to you too." I scoff, laughing.

"Oh, hi Drea! Did you ask her?"

"Yes."

"Well, what did she say?" He asks, anticipation evident in his voice.

"Well..." I trail off, making him groan in frustration.

"Andrea!" He yells, making me gasp.

"Hey!"

"Sorry, just tell me!"

"Two weeks..."

"YOU CAN STAY FOR TWO WEEKS?!" He screams excitedly, making me jump, and take the phone away from my ear.

"Yes dude!" I laugh.

"Oh my gosh that's great!"

David and I talked on the phone for a little while longer, but eventually we hung up. We talked about all the stuff we could do in the two weeks I have to visit.

I can't wait.

It was the day before I went to David's, and I had some of my friends over while I packed. My friends; Tyler, Miles, Aaliyah, and Natalia come over everyday. I met them when I first moved here, and we've become  pretty close, although no one will ever be as close as David and I.
