Three Months Later: December, 2016
"Are you getting ready now?" Gabbie asks over the phone.
"Yeah, I'm getting in shower as we speak." I say, turning on the water.
"Oooh, are you nakey?" She asks, playfully, making me laugh.
"Bye Gabbie!" I laugh, dragging out my words before hanging up.
Today is the first day we're all going to be together again. It's also New Years Eve. Everyone was visiting their families for the holidays, so we were all out of town. Of course, there's going to be a party at the guys' house tonight. I was at the apartment, alone for once, while the boys went out for content.
When I got in the shower, I decided that it was finally a good time to do it. Usually, I quietly mumble sing in the shower, but now that I'm alone I can actually sing. I get really nervous singing around people, so I never do it. Not even David has heard me sing. It's something that I enjoy doing, but I just never do. Honestly, I don't even know if I'm a good singer because the only people who have heard me sing are my mom, my brothers, and my sister.
I take a deep breath, singing one of my favorite songs.
"This what happens when I think bout you
I get in my feelin's, yeah
I start reminiscing you
Next time around
Fuck, I want it to be different, yeah
Waitin' on a sign,
Guess it's time for a different prayer."D A V I D
"Hey guys I'm just gonna run upstairs to see if Andie is getting ready." I explain as I pull into the parking garage.
"Why don't you just call her?" Dom laughs a little.
"I did, she didn't answer." I sigh, parking in my spot, and getting out of the car.
I take the elevator up, walking down the hallway towards the apartment. I unlock the door, walking in, and closing it after. Andie is no where to be seen, but I can hear someone singing in the shower. I get closer, resting my ear on the door.
That can't be Andie, can it?
Have I heard her sing before?
I don't think I ever have.
She sounds so good...
I slowly open the bathroom door, she doesn't notice me come in.
"You can sing?!" I ask in amazement, making her scream, and jump.
"David?!" She yells, peeking out of the shower curtain. Wow, I probably shouldn't have come in like that.
"Oh...sorry!" I yell, walking out of the bathroom.
A couple minutes later, Andie comes out of the bathroom. She has a towel wrapped around her, and she did not look too pleased with me.
"Why?" She asks, walking towards the room as I follow her.
"Why didn't you tell me you could sing?!" I ask, laughing.
