A N D I E
Waking up at four in the morning is not my cup of tea. My alarm rings loudly and repetitively, and I quickly flip over to grab my phone and shut it off. The noise stops, and I grimace as I look at the time through squinted eyes. I look over at David to see that he hadn't even budged, rolling my eyes as I begin shaking him awake.
"David, wake up, we have to leave." I yawn as David begins waking up.
"Good morning, princess," says David in a groggy, sleepy voice.
David wraps his arms around me as he tries pulling me closer to him in an attempt to get me to fall back asleep. I refuse to let him distract me, getting up, and pulling the blankets off of him.
"Come on, we're gonna be late." I scold as David glares at me, tiredly.
"Baby, it's too early to be late."

At five in the morning, David and I arrive at my mom's house, parking out front, and grabbing the presents from the car before heading inside. I use my key to get in, careful not to make any noise as David and I set the presents down underneath the tree. I grab David's hand, leading him up the stairs, and to my old bedroom. The smell of vanilla, and a hint of weed fills my nose as I open the door to my room. David turns the light on as we both walk in. I put my things down, and turn to face David as he closes the door behind him. I smile at him, walking up to him, and wrapping my arms around his shoulders.
"A lot of memories in here..." David trails off, looking around the room.
"Wanna make another one?" I whisper, smiling mischievously at him, and kissing him on the lips.
"Your family is asleep, and they don't even know we're here." David states.
"I know, that's why we have to be very, very quiet..." I whisper, kissing him again.

The sun rises as David and I get dressed, and I hear someone's door opening from down the hall. It's Elijah. My heart races as I fill with excitement, ready to go out, and see my family. I gesture for David to follow me as I open the door.
"Okay, I'll be right out, I have to check something real quick." David says, suspiciously, in a nervous tone, suddenly panicked.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask, cautiously, furrowing my eyebrows at him.
"Nothing! I just need to call Jason for something."
"Okay....?"
I close the door behind me as I walk out of the room. That was fucking weird. I swear, he better not bring that damn alligator here. I walk downstairs, smiling as I see everyone out in the living room.
"Mija!" My mom screams as she sees me, getting up from her chair, and attacking me with hugs as I laugh.
"Hi mama." I laugh as David follows me down the stairs.
My mom looks up at David, her eyes widening as she lets go of me, and rushes to him. Wow, thanks, mother.
"Hi Ms. Adonia," laughs David as he hugs my mom, and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
"DaeDae!" My little brother, Eli, shrieks, running up to me, and wrapping his arms around my legs.
"Booboo!" I grin, picking him up, and hugging him tightly.
My older brother, Anthony walks up to me, hugging me while I'm still holding Eli. A plethora of emotions rush to me as I begin tearing up, crying of happiness.
