I was in my bedroom when the lights suddenly turned off. I'm petrified of the dark and my parents are on holiday so I'm home alone. A few seconds after the lights turned off, I got a text from Jack.
Jack<3 - Hey, have you had a power cut too <3xxx
Me- Yes, and I'm petrified:(xxx
Jack<3- Don't worry, I'm already on my way! I'll be two minutes<3xxx
A couple of minutes after I got the text from Jack, there was a knock on the door. I went downstairs and opened the door to find Jack there in his PJs and he hadn't even got any shoes. He must have left the house as soon as I sent the text.
"Hey Jack!" I screamed with happiness, "thanks for coming!"
Jack came into the house, "I know how much you hate the dark and I wasn't gonna leave my baby to be scared all night."
Jack hugged me as we walked upstairs back to my bedroom. I had a large bed so we both got in my bed and Jack put his arm around me and held me tight and suddenly, all my fears faded. We drifted to sleep, with Jack's arm still around me and our legs intertwined and I forgot all my troubles. It proves that not all knights where shining armour...
